Israel could of been a light, an example of what God is. It has decided instead to be a nation of justification. "They do it, so we can do it too." A lion mashing a civilian population through economic barricades in hopes of some form of forced social engineering and compliance.

Your article is a further support of this reality, the death of a dozen israelities should equal the death of hundreds or thousands of palestinians. It's not our fault, they are in the way, an almost complete devaluation of human life. A population that has no where to go, and couldn't flee to Israel if they wanted to; which is a violation of Joshua which espouses the requirement of people being able to flee.

This conflict will persist ad infintum until one side decides to show the glow of divinity instead of doing what they feel is justified or right.

When one destroys a single individual, it is as if that person destroyed the whole world (Sanhedrin 4:5).

You're exactly right. It's the same principle as controlling crime -- you make the price of crime too high for individuals to make a living of it. In the same way to stop the rocket fire the response must be disporportionate so the price is too high for the Gazans to bear. I don't think surgical strikes on empty buildings will do it. The entire infrastracture, including shutting off the Israeli supplied electric power, needs to be targeted until the price of rocket fire is too high for them to bear.

At least the Israelis could go about their daily lives while the Palestinians in Gaza are put under strict restriction of movement that they can barely eke out a living, and the Jews in Israel poke fun at them because of their lack of education and how poor they are, by the way the Arabs in Gaza are called PALESTINIANS, just in case people forget.
The blood of the Palestinians and the Jews that have died so far in this conflict is on the hands of the criminal Israeli government and people who advocate murder, like the writer of this report.
There is only one way to look at these events going on now, all the blood that has been shed is for one reason only and that is Netanyahu's reelection bid, so shame on you for having no regards for human life, Israel is showing its true self.
Future PALESTINIAN state.

The few words I have for the Gazan Arabs and their Hamas leadership is "DO NOT YOU PEOPLE WANT TO LIVE?" Because when this is over, how many of you will be dead? How many of you will have homes destroyed? How many of you will have children to bury? How many of you will continue to live in the poverty, because the Tamar natural gas fields cannot be developed? Your rockets do not make you into Great Britain fighting the Battle of Britain or the Red Army encircling Stalingrad, and no you will not be hoisting the Hamas flag over Jerusalem. Drop your pointless defiance, and build your lives.

When are you guys ever going to learn?

This matter cannot be resolved by force of arms. Not now, not ever.

All that can be expected from this latest episode is some unspecified delay in the resumption of hostilities and an even further ratcheting up of antagonism and hatred on all sides.

OK. Rockets, in their many thousands, landing in Israeli territory is not good.
OK. Warplanes bombing Hamas command centres and personel, destroying structures associated with their supply and communication lines is not good either.
And teasing out the relative merits and demerits of whichever mode of warfare seems least objectionable is irrelevent when viewing the larger picture.

It's as if two prizefigthers, locked together inside a room, are battling it out to determine who will still be standing at the end of the fight. And they can never retire from the contest nor escape the confines of their prison unless someone comes along with a key that unlocks the door. But, although many have tried, no one has been able to find this key in well over six decades.
There are those who now consider it lost forever.

But, somehow and at some point, that door has got to be opened.

Even if it takes a battering ram to do it.

The rockets reaching T.A. and Jerusalem prove that Hamas has grown stronger under our FAILED retreat and appeasement agenda for a phony peace scam we were snared into following by false friends and false allies.
We are reaping the rewards for listening to the calls from our allies to retreat from Gaza and the Philadelphia / Rafah crossing for their worthless Road Map to Sheol and for our failure to defeat Hamas in 2009.
We have become soft and neutered and are tired of war.
Appeasement and retreat is what we do best now.
We decided to listen to our pimps of no peace instead of finishing of Hezbollah in 2006 and did the same again in 2009 by retreating from Gaza before finishing off Hamas. We don't have the green light from our god of the Potomac to win anymore ,so please don't test us

The Gazan's will never believe you or the weak and timid , always retreating Barak and the purveyor of empty words Netanyahu and his never fulfilled promises of a 'harsh response'.
The fearful Netanyahu is afraid to take out hte head of Hamas so he takes out his generator, now that's the harsh ISRAEL has been reduced to. a losing recipe!

the high IDF command are pushing for a ground operation but the dithering prime minister Netanyahu and his retreat prone defense minister Barak prefer to wait...
A generator was hit near the residence of Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh.

They see that Israel is too fearful of the worthless opinion's and constraints of their false allies, the EU, UN, US to truly end Hamas' reign of terror.
Thye also see how Israel is AFRAID to cut off the flow of supplies into Gaza that keeps them strong and an ever serious growing threat to all of Israel.
If Israel had real leadership, electricity would have been cut off long ago AND STAYED OFF when the first missiles hit Sderot A DECADE AGO.
The enemy knows they are dealing with waffle leaders who always waffle and have been neutered into wars of restraint by the fakepeace pimps where defeating the enemy like Hamas is a thing of the past.
