I understand Ron Kronish somewhat differently. People tend to see the Israel-PA situation as purely political, when in fact the underlying dispute is theological. Muslims believe the Covenant of Abraham was replaced by the New Testament, which was then superceded by Mohamet and the Koran. They see us Jews as fossils of an earlier dispensation who have no right to the Land of Israel. Earlier on the Church shared this view of Jews and refused to recognise the State of the Jewish People. The demand for millions of Arabs to 'return' to Israel, creating a Muslim majority, is part of this theology.

All right, but this guy exaggerates. I don't think Kronish ever met a jihadi or a Jew-hater he didn't run up to, wagging the tail of his feel-good rhetoric. Interfaith? OK, but how much moral vanity do you have to have to ALWAYS be the lamb that runs to welcome the wolf?
