The Christian Evangelical community – from Jay Sekulow to David Cerullo – and so many others have been great supporters of Israel through the years, and it has undoubtedly been tremendously beneficial for the State.  Pastor John Hagee and his wife Diana have been at the forefront of urging 50 Million Evangelical Christians to stand up for Israel.  Through their Christians for Israel organization, they are strident and non-stop supporters of Israel.

It’s noteworthy and admirable that in New York on November 7th, Pastor John and Diana Hagee are being honored by the Jewish community at the American Friends of Meir Panim dinner for their many decades of staunch support for Israel’s security and charitable needs.  There are so many ways to show Hagee’s relationship with the State of Israel:

  • “World leaders do not have the authority to tell Israel and the Jewish people what they can and cannot do in the city of Jerusalem. They don’t have the authority to tell them what they can and cannot build, who can and who cannot live there,” Pastor John Hagee
  • “God has promised to bless the man or nation that blesses the Chosen People. History has proven beyond reasonable doubt that the nations that have blessed the Jewish people have had the blessing of God; the nations that have cursed the Jewish people have experienced the curse of God.” John Hagee Ministries
  • “I salute you! The Jewish people salute you!” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanking Hagee and CUFI
  • “Pastor John C. Hagee is a staunch friend and supporter of the State of Israel, of Zionism, and of the Jewish people.” Morton Klein, President, Zionist Organization of America
  • “Thank you for help[ing] us to ensure that students in Israel are on the right path, the path of Zionism, the love of Israel, the path of solidarity,” Im Tirtzu
  • “Senator Joe Lieberman has compared Hagee to Moses and to Joshua.” Forward.com
  • Like the Maccabees of old and Watchman on the Wall mentioned in the Book of Psalms, you are never silent, day or night, for the sake of the nation state of Israel,” Rabbi Shlomo Riskin
  • “Pastor John Hagee promised the support of 50 million Christians for ‘Israel’s sovereign right to grow and develop the settlements of Israel as you see fit and not yield to the pressure of the United States government.’” ChristianityToday.com

Hagee today heads what is probably the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States.  The Jewish community needs to support our friends. More information on the upcoming dinner is available at www.hageedinner.org
