Bus lines being segregated by race? Israeli settlements in the Gaza strip and the West Bank? I don't understand why the United States has to be mired in Israel's apartheid-like domestic policies just so we can have a stronger foothold in a hostile Middle East. We're only hurting our relations with Arab countries by continuing to insist on support for a country whose conservative policies are almost unanimously criticized. Where is the progressive political element in Israel? Why can't there be a two-state solution?
