This is a very good thing to write about; I do just want to mention that I have always been the "good kid" described above to a T, AND am heavily-entrenched in the modeling and dance worlds… and yet have never had a problem with any eating disorder. For what it's worth, it's possible to be a perfectionist and exposed to "the biz" without developing an eating disorder. (Not saying that she said that; I just think that it needs to be said, in general.)

Does it help to know that there can be happy endings? Yes, co-patients of mine did die from it, but others made it through to the other side and have built happy, productive lives. I myself am happily married with five kids.
