Good news/bad news.

The bad news (and the options it offers) are outlined well by James Kenard in this article.

The good news is that, at least in most Western Countries, antisemitism, although alive and well, has to hide its face in shame. In a post Holocaust world, old fashioned, vulgar Jew baiting is the hate that dare not speak ts name.

Historically, it isn't long ago when successful political parties in Europe trumpeted their open scorn for Jews. Now it must be veiled under the cloak of "anti-Zionism" or being "pro-Palestinian". This veiling often even extends to the hater himself, who would not willingly accept the mantle of antisemite and must rationalize his disdain with the language of human rights.

This development is important for two reasons:
1) To some extent it keeps the hatred in the closet.
2) It means that perpetrators can be named and shamed when their prejudice becomes too blatant.

A small step in human progress? Yes, but it's better than none.
