Genesis 16v12, talking of Ishmael, "his hand shall be against every man & every man's hand shall be against him, yet shall he live within the midst of his brethren". He will not submit to authority nor slavery, he shall be his own & do his own thing. This is a tragedy in itself, Abram & Sarai did not wait for God's promise but took it upon themselves to 'make it happen', thus was Ishmael born. Jacob & Esau were twins, they had their problems, read carefully & you learn that peace came to both of them at their father's funeral. They simply moved to different parts of the land as families do due the size of their 'households'. Sadly, many 'scholars' use these events as 'just cause' for today's events. (1) None of us are alive from 'those days', (2)Men decide to be filled with hate and kill each other,(3) a lot of writings in the 'Moslem Holy book' were first written in the Israeli Holy book. I know many armies through history raided these lands, the Arab armies were not 'moslem' as this religion did not exist, they worshipped 'god's', not GOD, they, like the Israelites, won & lost battles. The crusades of the 10th century, under the banner of the 'cross' did enormous damage between all 'faiths' living in Israel & Jerusalem especially. The blood thirsty soldiers left their mark. Sadly, this blood lust continues, One scripture or verse in whichever book you read says the same thing "thou shalt not kill/murder", so, anyone preaching & committing these acts in is danger of God & His judgement. As for defending yourself, God says He will repay, simple answer, OBEY GOD.

well said , Both side should be calm and think about peace. anladin mi? I think Not Hamas , Israel should be more careful about…. more than Hamas by not expanding illegal space and land. Israel is a powerful country…and great power comes with a great responsibility.. I don't have any problem with jews..i have jews friend and I love them… so I am not biased. I hope for the peace.

Sorry Muhammad, The Arabs and/or Muslims of today control 22 nations… 99½ percent of the ENTIRE Middle East land mass while Israel occupies only a 1/2 of 1 percent speck on this same map. But that's still too much land for the Arabs to spare.
Every great Religion has a home, Mecca for the Arabs, The Vatican for the Catholics, and Jerusalem for the Jews. It is called respect for the people, the religions, and the way of life. A one state solution is ridiculous because that is giving another country to the Muslims which already control 22 nations.

I AM CALLING FOR A NATIONAL BOYCOTT BY JEWS OF ANY INTERFAITH HOLOCAUST PROGRAM WHERE HATIKAVAH IS INTENTIONALLY EXLUDED DUE TO MUSLIM PRESSURE OR CLERGY WHO SUPPORT THE PALESTINIAN CAUSE. PLEASE GET THE WORD OUT. RABBI DR. BERNHARD ROSENBERG. I have bowed out of the local interfaith Holocaust service, because it was a custom to include Hatikvah at the end, but now some Christian groups object as they support the Palestinians and the Muslim Imams would either sit or leave during the Hatikvah. Perhaps interfaith Holocaust programs no longer make sense, at least to me. I do not need the stress of seeing disrespect being afforded to Israel and nor do I wish to compromise by leaving Hatikvah out. This is a personal choice and I DO NOT ADVOCATE ANYONE NOT PARTICIPATING IN ANY INTERFAITH HOLOCAUST SERVICE. I INTRODUCED INTERFAITH HOLOCAUST SERVICES IN 1974 AND WAS ONE OF THE FIRST IF NOT THE FIRST TO DO SO. This was a difficult decision for me based on personal principle. The interfaith Holocaust memorials started as well intentioned way for the Jewish people and other groups to pause and reflect on man's capacity to perpetuate unbelievable cruelty against his fellow and to commiserate as a group and oHolocaust survivors and athers, with the Jews and hopefully prevent this nightmare from reoccurring. Over the years it was understandably modified to include other victims of genocidal mass killings, though these mass killings were not really analogous, as the Nazis were obsessed at not just killing Jews as a competing group, but Hitler desired to eliminate our creed and it's pervasive influence on humanity, particularly Christian doxy. As a result of Muslim participation and twisted liberalism, this is morphing into a twisted canard where Israel is being blamed for perpetuating ethnic killings against the Palestinians as the Jews were slaughtered by the Nazis. One can understand the Islamo-Nazis belief system with a quote from the Talmud. We do not see things as they are. We see them as we are. RABBI DR.
