Rabbi Anson Laytner of Seattle is a past president of the Sino-Judaic Institute and longtime editor of its journal Points East. He is co-editor, with Jordan Paper, of the forthcoming “The Chinese Jews of Kaifeng: A Millennium of Adaptation and Endurance” (Lexington Books). Previously he worked with the American Jewish Committee and the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle.
