as the webmaster of http://www.strongwomen.info, I feel I must make the public aware of how sexism is running rampant in cranberry township. there are hundreds (if not thousands) of listings when doing a search for "protect women" on facebook, it's as if we're not taking a hint from all the "strong" women who so obviously feel that they need to be protected, so why is there so much anti-woman sexism at a place like goodwill in cranberry township?

degradation of women has gone too far. first there were gender-based sports teams (which painted females as somewhat disabled, with regards to their athletic abilities not being equal to mens' abilities), next came gender-based military requirements (which also painted females as somewhat disabled, with regards to their lackluster physical abilities), but I am thoroughly APPALLED at a t-shirt I saw today at goodwill in cranberry township. does pennsylvania not have a chapter of the "national organization for women" anywhere in the state?

"i sold my sister on ebay" – this t-shirt brings to mind many images of masculine supremacy. it brings to mind images of a member of the taller/broader/stronger gender CONTROLLING the little/lesser/pipsqueak gender. it brings to mind images of a pimp COMMANDING a vagina to do what it designed to do: submit to a penis. it brings to mind the fact that the feminine body was not designed to be anything but a powerless baby-machine, from the testosterone-deficient level of strength…and right down to both the egg-bleeding penis-receptacle and the milk-spewing MOMmary glands.

goodwill should not be supporting degradation of wombn in ANY form, either by selling a t-shirt reading "i sold my sister on ebay," or by doing business with any college that keeps the genders separated on the sportsfield. females should not be seen as powerless creatures who are able to be sold by men, and they should not be seen as the athletic hindrance (or handicap) which deems gender-based sports teams a necessity.

goodwill should be ashamed of itself.
