He writes that "the EU High Commissioner for Foreign Affairs claims that building in Givat Hamatos would cut the geographic continuity between Bethlehem and Jerusalem." She is simply lying. Before the 1967 Six Day War there were Jewish neighborhoods on both sides of the main road between Jerusalem and Bethlehem. This was and is Hebron. The Talpiyot neighborhood was on both sides of the road. The Jewish part of Abu Tor was east of the road. So was Ramat Rahel, a kibbutz where fierce battles took place in the 1948 war. So already between 1948 and 1967 there was no Arab contiguity between Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
