Remember this from back in November 2011?
“I cannot stand him. He’s a liar,” Sarkozy told Obama. The US president responded by saying: “You’re fed up with him? I have to deal with him every day.”
Things can come back to haunt.
This is from the NYTimes on Aprill 4, 2015:
American officials acknowledge that they did not inform the Iranians in advance of all the “parameters” the United States would make public in an effort to lock in progress made so far, as well as to strengthen the White House’s case against any move by members of Congress to impose more sanctions against Iran.
“We talked to them and told them that we would have to say some things,” said a senior administration official who could not be identified under the protocol for briefing reporters. “We didn’t show them the paper. We didn’t show them the whole list.”
Is Obama, then, a bluffing bully?
Can it be that his policies are predicated on not only misreadings of what actually is happening in the world and not only on a purposeful misunderstanding of reality based on an ideologically-driven worldview but, when he feels the need, he will mislead not only the presumed enemies of the Free World but also the allies of the United States, and foremost, Israel and its Prime Minister?
Is this the way world affairs should be conducted? Is this the type of personality Israel and other Arab countries in the Middle East who oppose Iran’s aggression want to see as a leader?
This does not bode well.
