I agree vehemently with your point of view and having been saying and writing much the same. If we presented a different image of ourselves, diplomatically, in political actions, news. If we leveraged every event to project our victimization, as well the extent to which we bend over backwards for peace, had a campaign on treatment of Jews living in Muslim countries (Not just a one time complaint).
In a speech translated from Arabic, Morsi called Jews (note not Israelis only) pigs apes, bloodsuckers.
He went n to say that the only solution is violence on both sides of the green line. This is an opportunity for Israel - to.
- raise the issue of qualifications of a "guarantor' or sponsor of a ceasefire.
- that the tunnels have not been addressed per the agreement and that Gaza is rearming.
- that future negotiations must take issues such as these into account.
- that Israel is preparing a document addressing this (as Hussein has offered to "host' peace talks.
- that a statement from Morsi on his respect for all religions while positive from the standpoint of a relationship as "neighbors", does not meet quaifications of a guarantor.
- Articles illustrating the treatment of Jews, ( as well as Christains and Muslims) shouod continue.
as should a detailed description of the tunnel acessible in Israel's territories due to recent rains.

The notion of negotiations with a party who won' speak to you is bizarre and will come up again soon when Europe and probably the U.S. pressures Israel to.

Insofar as communication techniques between Israelis and Palestinians are concerned, both sides appear to be still engaged in what is essentially a dialogue of the deaf.

There is no or very little feedback in evidence and, since nearly all of the conversation seems intended for internal purposes anyway, what instances of mutual understanding that do occur are very rare indeed.

Of course, it could be just a question of turning up the volume on a specific wavelength and then seeing if the message gets through. But, with the level of background noise so high and every ear tuned to its own particular frequency, what sort of signal could possibly cut across such a vast amount of interference and cacophony?

That should quieten things down appreciably and allow minds to concentrate on much more productive matters.
