“Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail” -Ralph Waldo Emerson.

I hope you can find new trails to blaze, Salam. The history of the world has witnessed so many of the old ones leading nowhere that the opening up of fresh horizons always comes as a most welcome surprise.

Here's a local possibility to consider if the need arises.

The path Israelis and Palestinians have followed for nearly seven decades now has been a familiar one. Many similar routes have been taken by other communities and groups of people down all the centuries. On no occasion that I can recall have their paths ever been anything but fraught with difficulty and danger.

Perhaps, if Mr. Emerson's advice could be applied with greater diligence, the journey both these sides are presently embarked upon might be better travelled in the future. Having a specific destination in mind rather than a dark and uncertain destiny makes for a far quicker and easier passage through whatever lies ahead.

This would definitely be quite some trail to blaze.
