Syria is going to self-destruct. Nobody is going to prevent it, nor should they. It is an artificial country without any chance of ever becoming a real one and so-called solutions like this will merely postpone and make it much worse.

Until Syria splinters into it's 5 or 6 component pieces blood shed will continue to be the norm and hundreds of thousands will die. Once each religion and sect has their own territory and no outsiders then and only then will there ever be the remotest chance of peace.

Time to stay out it and let the Muslims kill each other.

Jerry Davis It's really all about the chemical/biological weapons. The US President gave a press statement saying use of the weapons would be the point of no return. With 40K civilians now dead, the point of no return should have occurred long ago. History repeats itself, but no Mr Davis, sadly, its about the weapons. God, Allah, Hashim Cannot be pleased.

Wonderfully articulated response to a very timely article. At this moment the world community is becoming increasingly nervous that the (CB) chemical/Biological weapons may be captured by Hezbollah or Alquida. The former is well position to use those weapons on both the Israeli's and The US mainland.In these end times, Leadership is absolutely required. The Turkish Prime Minister clearly fills the role. Excellent article!

Intelligent people can disagree. The Islamic Union, when it forms, most likely will include the Jewish state. It matters to me as Haifa was once home, and with so many Muslim brothers and sisters, the world would do well to follow the writers advice. The writer is correct on all accounts. Since this article went into print, the world powers are preparing to disarm Syria of the Chemical munitions, for the sake of all peoples. Lest we forget the threat Hezbollah poses to the Jewish state and people, the US Mainland included.

The Prime Minister of Turkey should be applauded for his humanitarian efforts to help the People of Syria. An Excellent, well written article, the time is at hand for the Syrian President and his people. The world at large is not only looking to contain the spread of the chemical weapons, but are deploying Military assets to prevent use of those weapons against the innocents of Syria. Brother Edin Luan Limani, I think what is being said is in satire to the way things have through history been pushed into the darkness where they are attempted to be hidden. Maybe I am taking it wrong, but I think what is meant by this comment is not that the Thesis is wrong, but that it has happened many times in different areas, even though this is truth, that we cannot any longer ignore the facts, but many times people do.

In what sense is what Ece writes wrong? In what way is it wrong to call for peace, and to call for human dignity and alliance? I dont see that, I can't understand that…
