Individual citizens aren't represented by distinct district politicians, and many of the larger parties don't even have primaries. The largest party that's promoting this idea, doesn't host primaries. The only thing that has the potential of representing (and protecting) the individual is a low voter threshold.

Yes it makes some things difficult to get done. But then again…that's not always a bad thing.
