When people truly understand how connected environment is to our health, they will start making noise. When they connect the environment to the food they eat, and the prices they pay at the market, they will start rising up. When people finally start connecting the dots between the polluted air, food and water in this country and the children in their yishuvim with pediatric cancer and the women with breast cancer, maybe they will vote with environment and health on their priority lists. When they understand that climate change impacts the yields in the kibbutz fields and thus our economy, maybe they will vote with their pocketbooks and not with their politics. Until then, you and I will have to continue asking them to pay attention.

Well said, Jay. It's also nice to have something to agree with about with folks like your buddy Jay Rosenberg....It is also very important for us Israelis to deal with things that are not just war and peace and the price of housing, it reminds us that, despite our best efforts, we are still part of the human race.
