‘ISRAELI, PALESTINIAN TEAMS PLAN TO INTENSIFY TALKS’ Times of Israel: Oct 8, 2013
Making ‘heavy weather of it’ has always seemed an apt description where Arab-Israeli peace negotiations are concerned. Certainly all previous discussions and get-togethers, even those begun with the very best of intentions, have achieved nowhere near the proper impetus necessary for any form of mutually agreed upon solution.
It’s almost as if failure in such matters is preordained, the inevitable result of factors permanently embedded inside a situation where no possibility of it ever being otherwise can exist.
Is there then no way to steer clear of a future so lacking in other options, no changing of a destiny long programmed by events and circumstances of yesteryear?
Unless conditions of the test can be modified or superseded by some very specific parameters, all prospects for genuine peace must be reckoned as being too remote for even the most tentative consideration.
Redefining conditions for maximum impetus and much wider latitude in the test.
