It has now been two weeks since the operation Protective Edge began and it seems it could last much longer. And in this war against evil, there are two categories of people who suffer the most. The soldiers and families who live closed to the Gaza Strip.

I live in Israel for 8 years, so I experienced four wars (Lebanon, Cast Lead, Pillar of Defense and the current one). And every time, I witnessed a momentum of unity and generosity we’d like to see throughout the year, even when “everything is fine”.

I was elected a few months ago to “represent the French who live in Israel,” but today I am writing this as a simple Jew. And I ask everyone, Jew or non-Jew, Israeli or not (or soon to be), human rights activist, peace-loving, protective of his neighbor, to help us help those in need.

For this, we have defined several types of assistance.

1. Financial assistance.

The money will be spent entirely in the martyred city of Sderot, at the service of the merchants who survive there. Then, the property will be distributed directly to the families and soldiers. I’m talking about goods that these people ask us for (socks, underwear, shower gel, cigarettes, toys, diapers, milk, non-perishable goods, etc.).

To donate money, there are two possibilities, either Paypal (the most popular, safe, anonymous and fast) or Bankeez (a secure crowdfunding plateform).

In 12 hours, we already raised 25,000 shekels. But we need much more for our family and soldiers !

2. Material aid.

The mayor of Tel Aviv has agreed to open a special office to receive the goods you wish to give [cosmetics, clothing, food (kosher), anti-mosquito products, T-shirts (black or khaki), tallit katan, etc.] In order to give these goods, please come to the City Hall of Tel Aviv, on the 12th floor (room 16), Wednesday, July 23 and Thursday, July 24, between 9:00 and 16:00.

All these assets will be distributed on July 25 at the gates of Gaza.

If you have any questions, if you want to distribute these gifts, or if you want to benefit from these donations, please contact me directly (js.sellem AT

Thank you for your generosity. Am Israel Hai.
