Yosef, thank you for your insights on how to eliminate "tango dancing" from obstructing the peace talks. On Thursday there was a demonstration of Palestinians on Mt. Scopus next door to my home on French Hill. A few dozen Palestinian students demonstrated at the entrance to the Hebrew University campus waving a Palestinian flag, chanting slogans and demanding freedom for all Palestinian prisoners in Israel. I interviewed one of the demonstrators. She told me in fluent Hebrew that she was a student at Hebrew University and she "knows" that the University was built on land that was Palestinian and that Israel should be go back to the pre 1948 borders. Actually, the University land on Mt. Scopus was bought by Jews before 1948, but that didn't matter to her. She emphasized that she is a Palestinian living in Israel but not an Israeli.

The key to peace is to first listen what these people are saying. These are the ones with whom we have to make peace. After listening carefully, we will see that the solutions suggested by Israeli Palestinian Confederation are much more realistic than the political suggestions that have been battered around for the past decade.

Jozef, this is wishful thinking.

The arab side does not want to live in peace with Israel. It wants Israel gone. The fiction of "palestine" is simply the tool to destroy Israel.

I suggest you go back and study history.

Joseph hit the nail on the head once again in this fantastic article. The entity that does not want peace is the "Military Industrial Complex" that former US president Eisenhower warned us about that has now migrated from the US to Israel. There is no incentive for peace when so much money to be made fighting wars. The question in Israel and the US is how to make PEACETIME lucrative for the military industrial complex so they will have something better to do.
