Irrespective of the bias of the left wing media, Israel will and is succeeding and Israel will triumph because good always triumphs over evil in the end. Israel will NEVER surrender. We are here to stay and eventually the whole world will realise this.

Thank you Mr. Yorke for your thoughts. I read Http://yorketowers.blogspot.com. IF the conflict was merely territorial and a question of money, the way to a solution as you describe it could be possible. However, this case is entirely different. The Arabs who chant "Kill all the Jews" [Itbach Al Yahood"] are not just singing war songs. They honestly believe that Allah wills them to do just that. Their interpretation of the Qur'an is backed by many classics, and it will take a great effort by the Muslim communities to decide to take up the challenge and to clear Islam of the radical interpretations. This will take a generation. I hope to live to see the process begin and get well on its way!

I sent The Times a slightly shorter letter on the same topic. In full, it read: "Re the editorial, 'Mr. Netanyahu’s Strategic Mistake,' I suggest your editorial writers take a look at a map; in no way would Israeli building in the area referred to as E1 'split the northern and southern parts of the West Bank.'".

Palestinian Arabs are not entirely devoid of any knowledge and expertise in buildings "tunnels"? Sydney has a tunnel going under Sydney Harbour connecting the Northside to the Eastside, Hong Kong has a similar tunnel undersea joining Kowloon to Hong Kong. If there is a problem of bisection then building a tunnel through sand is the answer. We need creative solutions to end the Jewish-Arab conflict – not constant whingeing and whining to justify its continuation.
