Like many others in the UK and across the world, as a Zionist and a Jew, I am proud of Israel, proud of its continued existence and proud of its numerous achievements that have helped make the world a better place. Therefore I believe it is important during the year to educate people about the real Israel, and on Yom Ha’azmaut, Israeli Independence Day, we should all celebrate the existence of Israel and highlight its successes.

This is why I decided to organise with the Zionist Federation the largest concert in Europe celebrating Israel’s 65th Birthday. The venue is Wembley Arena and there will be 10,000 people attending the Israel 65 Gala Concert. The ZF would be delighted to see all those who love Israel attend our concert on Tuesday April 16th at 7.30 pm, with doors opening at 6pm. If you want to attend, you can buy a ticket online at our new dedicated concert website or phone our office to purchase a ticket at 0208 202 0202.

Not sure you want to come? Check it out:

More than 5,000 people have already booked tickets so they can party for Israel’s birthday. We hope to give Israel a birthday a birthday to remember and give people of whatever age, religion or gender the chance to mark Israel’s 65th birthday.

The acts performing at this concert represent some of the best musicians, dancers and comedians in Britain and Israel. Alexandra Burke. an extremely talented musician who won the UK X Factor, is performing. Burke has several number one chart songs and has also sold over a million records, including having a Platinum selling single. Alexandra has a connection to Jewish culture from before her X Factor fame, when she was a singer in the Jewish wedding band Gilev. Those attending will witness one of the best singing performances they are ever likely to see.

But there’s more! Also lined up for the ZF’s concert are Spelbound, an internationally acclaimed dance group who won Britain’s Got Talent and performed at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics. Their electric dance moves will help light up the concert. The concert will also show off some exceptional music, as Chico & the Gypsies, fronted by Chico Bouchikhi, founder of the Gipsy Kings.

Of course no party for Israel would be complete without showcasing some of lsrael’s top talent. And Israel has plenty offer the world in the field of music. Ishtar, the Israeli lead singer of Alabina, who has sold over a million records and has been called the Madonna of the Middle East, will be singing at the Israel 65 concert. Also singing will be Ivri Lider, who is Israel’s singer of the year and one of the country’s most successful artists.

For those who want to party through the night, we have an after party exclusively for Young Professionals with excellent DJ’s.

I am sure that the concert will highlight the high level of support that Israel enjoys in the UK and that this commitment is as strong as it has ever been. With the calibre of this line-up, I hope the ZF’s Israel 65 Concert will be an event to make Israel’s 65th birthday a memorable one.
