My 3 1/2 year old son LOVES getting a manicure from his sister. At some point he and I were in the pharmacy and he made a beeline for the nail polish displays... and refused to leave the store until I bought him a bottle. For 10NIS and the light mauve, it wasn't worth the fight. And when we got home he presented his hands to me, fingers splayed and watched patiently as I painted his nails... and then wandered around the house with his hands out in front, fingers splayed as the polish dried.

All 3 of my girls have been in and out (and back in) of the tutu phase and have each had at least one male friend who wanted to try on some of their girliest stuff including the best twirling items and the plastic princess heels that make a satisfying clickety clack sound on the floor when you walk. This was mostly true when they had toddler friends and we met a few parents who expressed displeasure that their boys wanted this or that we allowed it, but most of the parents just smiled, shared the pictures with their friends, and accepted this as normal toddler behavior that may or may not have anything do with eventual gender or sexual identity but so what. When my kids were these ages we lived in New England, not Jerusalem, so I can't compare.

You're a foul-mouthed moron. 2 and 1/2 year old children aren't supposed to make choices, they are to be taught by example and by parents' decisions for them, including their gender roles..
