I think that it is a sad commentary on the Israeli left that they see evicting 50,000 Israelis onto the street using the same totalitarian tactics that Sharon used as being a better idea than granting 50,000 residents of the PA the offer of citizenship. What exactly does human rights mean to these people. Being heartless and unnecessarily cruel is progressive? They're selling an Orwellian dystopia as paradise.

Rachel, you have no idea what Bantustans were, nor what apartheid was about. Please stop using labels and start using your head. The position of the Arabs in Israel, and the so-called 'refugees' has deteriorated and continues to deteriorate as a direct result of their own leaders' actions. If they had accepted ANY of the positions since 1947 and got on with their lives, they would have been infinitely better off than they are now. Let them say, publicly, in Arabic, that they will accept 'painful compromises', and that they support the existence of a Jewish State. Then both sides will have something to talk about. Meantime, Meretz should propose some real policies and actions, rather than stupidly putting 'Neged Bibi' on their election posters and thinking that that constitutes an ideology.

Sorry. Typo. I meant to say nothing new about creating Bantustans. They tried that in South Africa as a last ditch effort to preserve the status quo, but it didn't fool anyone and Apartheid S. Africa crumbled under the international boycotts.

It seems what all Naftali Bennett aspires for, is for the annexation of the West Bank, settle as many Jews in there as possible, and just hope, that is just hope, they will eventually outnumber the Palestinians. Even you gave all the Jews there a pornographic movie to watch, they still will not be outnumbering the Palestinians. So does that mean Israel will be performing apartheid in the West Bank? If it is minority rule there, that is what it will be called.

It sounds as if the AUTHOR either "knows no history, or is cut off from reality". If she learned anything from the disengagement, the prospect of another hostile palestininan entity carved put of the east side of Israel would not be appealing to her. People want Bennett precisely because THEY know history. Whatever the members of Meretz know or do not know, history shows time and time again, they are far more concerned about creating a muslim state out of Israel, than the survival of the worlds sole Jewish State.

Not Naftali, "Habayit Hayehudi". As you know, we vote for a list not a person. Saying that gays should not be allowed in the army (Uri Ariel) or that civil marriages are a recipe for the destruction of the jewish people (Eli Ben Dahan) are radical views. Saying your son did the right thing by assaulting a Palestinian and then killing his goat (Orit Struck) is radical. Hiding these radical Party members and not letting them be interviewed by the press is dishonest (Not to say it does not go on in other parties, Moshe Feigling and Meirav Michaeli are great examples) Saying we should stop relying on U.S funding is not only radical but also ignorant, we rely heavily on U.S funding and we are in enough financial troubles as is. When asked about religous topics like civil marriage and buses on shabbat, all Naftali says is it's complicated and then changes the subject. I don't understand why nobody cares about these issues. As far as who I'm voting for, it's Yesh Atid because I think this division of right and left is beyond stupid and a party made up of people from both sides is what this country really needs. Fact is, you may think Bennet is definitely going to be in the coalition but there's a good chance that Bibi will do the right think and build a unity government. There's still two weeks and a whole lot of negotiations to go.
