The Return of God
|וְשָׁב יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֶת-שְׁבוּתְךָ, וְרִחֲמֶךָ; וְשָׁב, וְקִבֶּצְךָ מִכָּל-הָעַמִּים, אֲשֶׁר הֱפִיצְךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ, שָׁמָּה.||that then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the peoples, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee. (Deu 30:3)|
As noted by Rashi, the first word “return” is in simple conjugation (וְשָׁב) and not in causative conjugation (וְהֵשִׁיב), therefore the simple, plain meaning of the text is that God Himself will return with the captivity, not God will return the captivity.
But how can God return who has no physical form?
The simple solution provided by the rabbis is that Shechinah שְׁכִינָה will return, meaning Divine Presence.
Elsewhere in the Prophets, the concept of God returning is further elucidated with additional details:
|וּבָא יְהוָה אֱלֹהַי, כָּל-קְדֹשִׁים עִמָּךְ||…and the LORD my God shall come, and all the holy ones with Thee. (Zechariah 14:5)|
The Holy Ones are his angels. The verse above presents a problem. It should have said “with him” עִמּוֹ, but instead it says: “with you” עִמָּךְ in singular. The secret is that you are one of the Holy Ones, as will be clarified below.
The Return of Mashiach
The same concept is further elucidated with more details as follows:
|And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (Mat 24:31)|
It is now clear from above verse that the army consists of his angels and his elect. His angels are his Holy Ones, and his elect are you, as alluded to in Zechariah 14:5 above.
The question is who is He?
Based on Torah, He is God himself, but based on Matthew 24, He is Mashiach himself, and there is no contradiction.
For God has no form except as revealed in Mashiach as his clothes, as in “YHVH clothes” לָבֵשׁ יְהוָה, the gematria is 358, the same as Mashiach מָּשִׁיחַ.
The “atbash” of Mashiach in gematria is 112, which is the same as “YHVH Elohim” יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים, as follows:
The gematria of “his angels and his elect” מַלְאָכָיו וּבְּחִירָיו in gematria is 349, which is exactly the gematria of “YHVH shall return” וְהֵשִׁיב יְהוָה, with the verb in causative conjugation, meaning YHVH will return his angels and his elect.
The army in gematria:
|YHVH Elohim||יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים||112|
|And His elect||וּבְּחִירָיו||242|
Astonishingly, 819 is exactly the gematria of “Times of Mashiach” יְמוֹת הַמָּשִׁיחַ.
The return of Mashiach is to fight the enemy known by his number which is 666. In the same manner that Mashiach מָּשִׁיחַ and the Snake נָּחָשׁ have the same gematria in 358, so is “And Mashiach will return” וְשָׁב מָּשִׁיחַ in gematria 666.
666 is also the gematria of “All the Torah” כָּל-הַתּוֹרָה, i.e. by the power of all the Torah, which is Mashiach, is the final victory wrought against 666.
The Secret of Man
Rosh HaShannah is the birth day of Man in general, and Mashiach in particular.
The different names of God symbolize different levels of descent.
Yah יָהּ is the first decent, the two letters spelled out as יוד הא has the same gematria of YHVH which is 26.
Elohim is the vessel of YHVH, as Elohim אֱלֹהִים in gematria is 86, which is exactly the same as “vessel of YHVH” כְּלִי יְהוָה.
Mashiach is “YHVH clothed” לָבֵשׁ יְהוָה, which in gematria is 358, the same as Mashiach.
When the two letters of Yah are repeated, it means: will be, and what will Yah be? a man, as follows:
|Step 3||Step 2||Step 1|
The gematria of “Yah will be” is 45, exactly the same as Man.
When the past, present and future tenses are applied, the first level is God as 111, and the second level is the firstborn son בְּכֹר which in gematria is 222, as follows:
|Yah was, Yah is, Yah will be||יָהּ הָיָה יָהּ הֹוֶה יָהּ יִהְיֶה||111|
|Spelled out||יוד הה הה יוד הה יוד הה הה וו הה יוד הה יוד הה יוד הה||222|
Similarly, Mashiach is called “like the appearance of a man” in Daniel 10:18:
|וַיֹּסֶף וַיִּגַּע-בִּי כְּמַרְאֵה אָדָם, וַיְחַזְּקֵנִי||Then there touched me again one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me (Daniel 10:18)|
The gematria of “like the appearance of a man” כְּמַרְאֵה אָדָם in gematria is 311, which is the same of Ish, אִישׁ, another Hebrew word for man.
The name of God Ahyeh אֶהְיֶה is connected with the redemption, which literally means: I will be, in future tense. The name YHVH can be permuted to וְהָיָה, which means, it shall come to pass, also in future tense. If follows that the concept of redemption is wrought by God in the form a man known as Mashiach, as follows:
|And it shall come to pass that I will be like the appearance of a man||וְהָיָה אֶהְיֶה כְּמַרְאֵה אָדָם||358|
|And it shall come to pass that I will be a man||וְהָיָה אֶהְיֶה אִישׁ||358|
|Yah becomes in man||יָהּ יִהְיֶה בָּאִישׁ||358|
The Return of God Revisited
We can now understand the deeper meaning of this verse:
|וְשָׁב יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֶת-שְׁבוּתְךָ, וְרִחֲמֶךָ;||that then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee…(Deu 30:3)|
The literal meaning of this verse is that God will return with your captivity, this is obviously not possible except when God returns in the human form which is known as Mashiach.
The gematria of above verse is 1818, which is exactly Mashiach revealed progressively and regressively, as follows:
|Revealed progressively and regressively||מ מש משי משיח משי מש מ||1818|
|Atbash||י יב יבמ יבמס יבמ יב י||260|
The “atbash” of the revealed letters add up to exactly 260, which is 10 x 26.
Circumcise Your Heart
One of the signs of this “return” is as indicated in this verse:
|וּמָל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֶת-לְבָבְךָ||And the LORD thy God will circumcise thy heart… (Deu 30:6)|
The gematria for above five words is 623, the gematria of the Holy Spirit רוּחַ הַקֹּדֶשׁ, it follows this is the work of the Holy Spirit at the end of days.
YHVH circumcises the heart is indicated in the following verse:
|לֹא בַשָּׁמַיִם, הִוא: לֵאמֹר, מִי יַעֲלֶה-לָּנוּ הַשָּׁמַיְמָה וְיִקָּחֶהָ לָּנוּ וְיַשְׁמִעֵנוּ אֹתָהּ, וְנַעֲשֶׂנָּה||It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say: ‘Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, and make us to hear it, that we may do it?’ (Deu 30:12)|
The key phrase:
|Who shall go up for us to heaven||מִי יַעֲלֶה-לָּנוּ הַשָּׁמַיְמָה|
It is noted that the initial four letters of the above four words spells “circumcision” מִילָה, while the final four letters of the above four words spell “YHVH”, all in their right orders.
The remaining letters in gematria is 540, which is exactly the gematria of “Spirit of YHVH” and “Spirit of Elohim”, to symbolize the circumcision of the heart by the Spirit, as follows:
|Spirit of Elohim||רוּחַ אֱלֹהִים||300|
|Spirit of YHVH||רוּחַ יְהוָה||240|
Adding 1 as kollel to represent the new man, the gematria is 541, exactly that of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵל.
Parashat Nitzavim is always read before Rosh HaShannah.
|אַתֶּם נִצָּבִים הַיּוֹם כֻּלְּכֶם, לִפְנֵי יְהוָה||Ye are standing this day all of you before the LORD…(29:9)|
According to the rabbis, this day הַיּוֹם alludes to Rosh HaShannah when men stand before judgment.
The gematria of the six words above is 1000, which is exactly the gematria of:
|This Day||הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה||78|
|Rosh HaShannah||רֹאשׁ הַשָּׁנָה||861|
The Day and This Day always alludes to Rosh HaShannah, which is also called the “Day of the LORD”, which is ushered in with the Shofer blowing, as it is written:
|תִּקְעוּ שׁוֹפָר בְּצִיּוֹן, וְהָרִיעוּ בְּהַר קָדְשִׁי–יִרְגְּזוּ, כֹּל יֹשְׁבֵי הָאָרֶץ: כִּי-בָא יוֹם-יְהוָה, כִּי קָרוֹב||Blow ye the horn in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain; let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is at hand; (Joel 2:1)|
This is exactly the same day prophesized in Rev 1:10 as the day of the coming of Mashiach, as it is written:
|I was in the Spirit on the LORD’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet (Rev 1:10)|
On the “LORD’s Day”, i.e. the Day of the LORD, יוֹם-יְהוָה, the Day of Judgment, which is Rosh HaShannah.
“I was in the Spirit of LORD on the Day of the LORD” וַתְּהִי עָלַי רוּחַ-יְהוָה וּבְיוֹם יְהוָה in gematria is 861, which is exactly the gematria of Rosh HaShannah רֹאשׁ הַשָּׁנָה.
861 is also the gematria of “The Mashiach sits on the throne” הַמָּשִׁיחַ יֹשֵׁב עַל-הַכִּסֵּא. The concept of sitting on the throne is to mete out judgment.
861 is also the gematria of “This is the time of Mashiach” זֶה לִימוֹת הַמָּשִׁיחַ.
The rabbinical phrase: “YHVH is King, YHVH was King, YHVH will be King” יְהוָה מֶלֶךְ יְהוָה מָלָךְ יְהוָה יִמְלֹךְ in gematria is exactly 358, the gematria of Mashiach מָּשִׁיחַ. This is the day when YHVH is coronated, but how can YHVH be coronated except through Mashiach?
The liturgy is concluded with a verse from Zechariah 14:9, as follows:
|יְהוָה מֶלֶךְ יְהוָה מָלָךְ יְהוָה יִמְלֹךְ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד וְהָיָה יְהוָה לְמֶלֶךְ, עַל-כָּל-הָאָרֶץ; בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא, יִהְיֶה יְהוָה אֶחָד–וּשְׁמוֹ אֶחָד.||YHVH is King, YHVH was King, YHVH will be King forever and ever. And YHVH shall be King over all the earth; in that day shall YHVH be One, and His name One.|
In that day בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא is Rosh HaShannah, as noted above.
“In that day shall YHVH be One and His name One” בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא, יִהְיֶה יְהוָה אֶחָד–וּשְׁמוֹ in gematria is 496, exactly the gematria of Malchut מַלְכוּת, i.e. the Kingdom on earth (as it is in heaven).
The gematria of this liturgy is 1741, which is exactly the sum of:
|In Rosh HaShannah||בְּרֹאשׁ הַשָּׁנָה||863|
|And in Day of Blowing||וּבַיּוֹם תְּרוּעָה||745|
|And in Day of Judgment||וּבַיּוֹם הַדִּין||133|
Which are the three names for the same day, known as Rosh HaShannah, Yom Teruah, Yom HaDin.
Three in One
Rosh HaShannah is called the “first day of the seventh month” and is the birth day of the first Adam, and Mashiach the last Adam, and also the day of “his second coming”, the three are in one day.
|And in the seventh month, on the first
day of the month…(Num 29:1)
|וּבַחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִי בְּאֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ||1074|
1074 = 3 x 358, which is the gematria of 3 x Mashiach.
As it is written:
|And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. (1 Cor 15:45)|
The meaning of the “quickening spirit” can be derived from the creation of Adam on Rosh HaShannah:
|וַיִּיצֶר יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים אֶת-הָאָדָם, עָפָר מִן-הָאֲדָמָה, וַיִּפַּח בְּאַפָּיו, נִשְׁמַת חַיִּים; וַיְהִי הָאָדָם, לְנֶפֶשׁ חַיָּה||Then the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul (Gen 2:7)|
It is evident that the creation process starts with the “breath of life” נִשְׁמַת חַיִּים and concludes with the “living soul” נֶפֶשׁ חַיָּה.
If follows that the reverse would start from the “living soul” and conclude with the “breath of life”. The Hebrew phrase “breath of life” can also mean “spirit of life”, i.e. the spirit that gives life, i.e. the quickening spirit, which is the secret of the resurrection of the dead which will also take place on Rosh HaShannah.
The verse can now be rendered into Hebrew as follows:
|The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.||וַיְהִי אָדָם הָרִאשׁוֹן לְנֶפֶשׁ חַיָּה וְאָדָם הָאַחֲרוֹן לְנִשְׁמַת חַיִּים||2330|
Astonishingly, the gematria is 2330 = 233 x 10, where 233 is the gematria of “tree of life” עֵץ הַחַיִּים.
2330 is also twice the gematria of “tree of life” and “tree of knowledge of good and evil”, as follows:
|Tree of life tree of knowledge of good and evil||עֵץ הַחַיִּים עֵץ הַדַּעַת טוֹב וָרָע||1165|
|Tree of life tree of knowledge of good and evil||עֵץ הַחַיִּים עֵץ הַדַּעַת טוֹב וָרָע||1165|
By the “tree of knowledge of good and evil” Adam (man in general) is judged to death, and by the “tree of life” which is Mashiach in particular Adam (man in general) is resurrected to life from the death.
It follows that the key to the resurrection of dead is to turn Adam to the quickening spirit (or breath of life).
|And Adam shall become the quickening spirit||וְהָיָה אָדָם לְנִשְׁמַת חַיִּים||959|
This is exactly the same gematria of “you resurrect the dead” from the Amidah prayer:
|You resurrect the dead||מְחַיֶּה מֵתִים אַתָּה||959|
When challenged by the unbelievers on the authenticity of the resurrection, Yeshua answered:
|But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. (Mat 22:31-32)|
The gematria of the first part of the answer is exactly 959:
|I am the God of Abraham, I am the God of Isaac, I am the God of Jacob.||אֲנִי אֱלֹהֵי אַבְרָהָם אֲנִי אֱלֹהֵי יִצְחָק אֲנִי אֱלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹב||959|
The gematria of “becomes the quickening spirit” לְנִשְׁמַת חַיִּים is 888, the concept of being unified with Mashiach. 888 is also the gematria of “the time of his second coming” בָּעֵת בּוֹאוֹ מִשְׁנֵהוּ which is on Rosh HaShannah.
I shall see God
Rosh HaShannah is the time when the dead will be raised and man shall see God from the flesh.
|וּמִבְּשָׂרִי, אֶחֱזֶה אֱלוֹהַּ||…then from my flesh shall I see God (Job 19:26)|
This alludes to seeing God eye to eye:
|וְהִנֵּה כְּבוֹד יְהוָה, נִרְאָה בֶּעָנָן||And behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud (Ex 16:10)|
The gematria of this verse is 552, which is exactly the gematria of “flesh and blood” בָּשָׂר וָדָם, 552 is also the gematria of “from my flesh” מִבְּשָׂרִי. This comes to reveal that YHVH appeared in the cloud as “flesh and blood”.
The word “appeared” נִרְאָה in “atbash” טגת”ץ is exactly the gematria of “flesh” בָּשָׂר, which is 502.
When the first word “And behold” is removed:
|כְּבוֹד יְהוָה, נִרְאָה בֶּעָנָן||The glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud (Ex 16:10)|
The gematria is 486, which is exactly the gematria of:
|וְהוּא יִהְיֶה-לְּךָ לִמְשִׁיחַ||And he is Mashiach to you|
When all 15 letters of “and he is Mashiach to you” are spelled out, the gematria is 1331:
|וְהוּא יִהְיֶה-לְּךָ לִמְשִׁיחַ|
|וו הה וו אלף יוד הה יוד הה למד כף למד מם שין יוד חית||1331|
1331 is the primordial number (sum from Alef to the letter itself) of Mashiach, as follows:
The “rapture” will take place on Rosh HaShannah.
The concept of “rapture” means being taken up, the corresponding Hebrew word is נִלָּקַח.
|Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air…(1 Thes 4:17)|
“Them” are the Holy Ones who were dead but have been raised to form part of the army accompanying Mashiach in the cloud (Zechariah 14:9).
|Raptured in the cloud||נִלָּקַח בַּעֲנָנִים||410|
This is exactly the same gematria of:
|Behold he comes with the cloud||הִנֵּה הוּא בָא עִם הָעֲנָנִים||410|
The rapture will take place with the last trump on Rosh HaShannah:
|In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trump shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (1 Cor 15:52)|
The gematria of “last trump”הַשּׁוֹפָר הָאַחֲרוֹן is 861, exactly the same of Rosh HaShannah רֹאשׁ הַשָּׁנָה.
The changed body is “new flesh” הַבָּשָׂר חָדָשׁ, which in gematria is 819, exactly the same of “times of Mashiach” יְמוֹת הַמָּשִׁיחַ.
