The old adage, “Tell me who your friends are and you’ll be telling me who you are” undoubtedly applies to Barak Hussein Obama. From a family perspective, both his blood father his step father and his white mother who he described as “the single constant in my life” undoubtedly exerted significant influence on him. One has only to consider his international bestseller, Dreams from my Father, to appreciate this. The book chronicles Obama’s experience as the son of an African father and an American mother.
“I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.” This quote is from the book’s introduction.
“Yes, I’d seen weakness in other men — Gramps and his disappointments. Lolo and his compromise. But these men had become object lessons for me, men I might love but never emulate, white men and brown men whose fates didn’t speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa, that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.”
George Soros is a business magnate, investor, philanthropist, and author who is of Jewish-Hungarian ancestry and holds dual citizenship. He is chairman of Soros Fund Management. He is known as “The Man who broke the Bank of England” because of USD 10 billion worth of pounds, making him a 1 billion profit of USD during 1992 Black Wednesday UK currency crisis. Soros is one of the 30 richest people in the world. The one commonality between the socialists that Obama surrounds himself with and George Soros is the views that they hold on capitalism and freedom in the United States.
Obama’s anti-capitalist background and views are well documented: His father was a communist; his mother was a communist sympathizer and in his youth he was mentored by the communist Frank Marshall Davis. His alliances in sympathy with his views speak volumes:
* Developed close personal and political ties to the pro-socialist community organization ACORN.
*At Occidental College he sought out Marxist friends and professors.
* He spent 20 years in attendance at the church of Rev. Jeremiah Wright, given to preaching the Marxist doctrines of liberation theory and outbursts of anti-Semitism.
* Attended Socialist Scholars Conferences in New York and was trained in the community organizing methods of Saul Alinsky, a communist fellow traveler.
* In the 1990s, he became a member of the New Party, a socialist political coalition.
* Developed close personal and political ties to the infamous Marxists [and former domestic terrorists] Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohm and was hand-picked for his first political office by Alice Palmer, a pro-Soviet figure in Illinois.
* He had close connections to the Midwest Academy, a radical training ground which author Stanley Kurtz has described as a “crypto-socialist organization”.
The immigration-related agendas of Barack Obama fitted hand-in-glove with those of the foregoing Soros-affiliated activist groups. Indeed, the President has repeatedly called for “comprehensive immigration reform” — a euphemism for incremental amnesty.
In December of 2006, Soros, who had previously hosted a fundraiser for Obama during the latter’s 2004 Senate campaign, met with Obama in Soros’s New York office. Just a few weeks later, on January 16, 2007, Obama announced that he would form a presidential exploratory committee and was contemplating a run for the White House. Within hours, Soros sent the senator a contribution of $2,100, the maximum amount allowable under campaign-finance laws.
Obama, like Soros, favors a criminal-justice-oriented approach to terrorism and thus would prefer to try the perpetrators in civilian court where they would enjoy the enhanced rights and protections that such courts afford to all defendants.
Writing in the American Thinker of October 22, 2008 on The Said, Khalidi Connection, Ed Lasky quotes famed historian Bernard Lewis, “Obama was a student at Columbia from 1981 to 1983. He refuses to discuss those years; it is known only that he studied for at least some time under Edward Said, the late PLO apologist.” In fact, Professors Rashid Khalidi and Edward Said had a profound effect on Obama. Said gave the keynote speech at a dinner at an Arab community event in Chicago in 1998 attended by the Obama’s who were photographed having dinner with him. Of his many talks with the Khalidis, Obama said, had been “consistent reminders to me of my own blind spots and biases — It’s for that reason that I’m hoping that, for many years to come, we continue that conversation — a conversation that is necessary not just around Mona and Rashid’s dinner table, “but around the entire world.” Haaretz’s full transcript of an interview with Khalidi on December 5, 2011 is most instructive.
Khalidi: “How do you address the growing problem that is constituted by this large indigenous minority inside Israel? The two-state solution doesn’t address this. That’s part of the Palestine problem. It’s an Israeli problem. Transfer is not the solution. Ethnic cleansing is not the solution. Why are we talking about this but for the fact that the United Nations gave 55% of a country that was two-thirds occupied by Palestinians to 35% of the population who owned 7% of the land and who in the Jewish state laid out by the UN Partition Plan would have to deal with a 50% Arab minority. This was resolve by ‘dumping’ the Palestinians, so dumping more Palestinians won’t solve the problem.” This specious argument is hardly ever recognized let alone answered.
Said who was University Professor of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University before his death in 2003, is identified by Times reporter Peter Wallsten as a “leading intellectual in the Palestinian movement.” The author of more than a dozen books, his 1978 book, “Orientalism” became the founding work of the new field of cultural studies, and is now assigned at hundreds of colleges and universities and translated into more than 30 languages. He was a fierce critic of Israel’s “occupation” of the West Bank. At Said’s 1998 speech, attended by Obama he “called for a nonviolent campaign” against Jewish “settlements” in the West Bank.
Few will remember that on March 4, 2007, Senator Barak Obama appeared at the AIPAC annual meeting, clearly seeking Jewish votes in his effort to defeat Hillary Clinton in the forthcoming presidential election. Not only that but he specifically offered not a single word of criticism of Israel, no reference to “occupation” or settlements”. For the uninitiated an impression of being pro-Israel, clearly the quintessential pro-Israel candidate.
On the other hand, he used the opportunity to engage in moral relativism when discussing Jewish suffering during the Holocaust and “the Palestinian people, Muslims and Christians in their pursuit of a homeland” in his Cairo speech of June 4, 2009. He also rolled out in great detail his plans for the Iran nuclear deal. Since he does not appear to know much about history dating from the San Remo Conference, one is inclined to recommend that he reads Victor Sharpe’s: “The Two State Solution is 87 years Old” and David Pryce-Jones’ “The Closed Circle”.
Several psychiatric experts have volunteered opinions on his behavior patterns. Stanley Kurtz, a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, author of Radical-in-Chief summarizes his conclusion:
“The record is clear. Obama’s heritage, his largely hidden history of leftist radicalism, and his close friendship with Rashid Khalidi, all bespeak sincerity, as Obama’s other Palestinian associates agree. This is not to mention Reverend Wright – whose rabidly ant-Israel sentiments, I show in Radical-in-Chief, Obama had to know about — or Obama’s longtime foreign policy advisor Samantha Power, whose once apparently recommended imposing a two-state solution on Israel through American military action. Decades of intimate alliances in a hard-left world are a great deal harder to fake than a few years of speeches at AIPAC conferences.”
Historian Joseph V. Micallef’s Op-Ed : A Legacy of Failure Obama’s Mideast Foreign Policy, points to America’s loss of credibility, severely damaged by a White House whose strategy is unclear, inconsistent and lacking follow-through, particularly in the case of Syria. Assad should have been subject to UN sanctions similar to those applied in Iran and the Syrian rebels offered complete support. Now Obama is considering leaving Assad in place! In the case of Iran, the US received very little and gave up much. Hizbollah and Hamas will continue to enjoy patronage by Iran who insisted that terrorism not be addressed in the matter of the nuclear bomb agreement.
Charles Krauthammer, a notable columnist and psychiatrist who had specialized in bipolar diseases considers Obama narcissist, but not manic and doubts that he’s depressed. He notes that Obama often refers to himself and “lives in a cocoon surrounded by sycophants — and talks like the emperor, Napoleon.”
Dr. Paul Fick is a clinical and forensic psychologist who has authored, “The Destructive President: Inside the Mind of Barak Obama”. A few extracts from his book:
* Obama suffers from 3 primary psychological maladies that drive his destructive behavior. In addition to displaying narcissistic features, Obama suffers from paranoid tendencies which makes Obama a dangerous and destructive president.
* Obama’s thoughts are distorted by victim logic and projection; and his intense emotions of resentment and hate are based on unresolved pain. He uses power to control his anger.
* Obama says he will “transform” America, and this transformation is motivated by Obama’s unresolved anger toward himself projected onto the country. This hatred drives Obama to destroy not an individual or a group, but the very traditional institutions that define America.
The Obama Administration has little to show in its ME foreign policy for its term in office, as expressed below:
* Arab Spring backfire and resultant creation of the Islamic State accompanied by a wave of instability and violence.
* Rebuffed allies, specifically weakening Israel’s strategic position.
* Relation with Russia has mostly reset the world into hostile opposing camps.
* Refuses to acknowledge having empowered Iran, who can freely continue their nuclear programs off shore through Korea.
* Directly responsible for the collapse of Syria, 250,000 deaths, the refugee crisis and acting against the advice of all his advisors.
This then is Obama’s Legacy.
