When will it end? Did we not just review that we must destroy Amalek, without mercy? As long as we act with mercy to those who are cruel, we will suffer to be cruel to our own, whom we should treat with mercy. An affliction for which we mourn now nearly 2000 years. Yes, when will it end? I must be different, today, now. Will you help me? May G-d grant us wisdom to know the difference between Haman and Mordechai, between Agag and the Kohanim of Nov, between the Jewish builders and fighters of the Our Land, and murderers who wish only to terrorize our People (along with the media, politicians and personalities who promote this evil cause).

Agree with all the above… and would simply add "War is normal; peace is not." Just Wiki the list of wars humanity has had. So David is right. Let's at last, long last, accept that there is an elephant in the room. Let's acknowledge history and stop pretending that nice guys win in the end. It's resolve that wins in the end, determination and courage. That's why I want to live in Israel.

Thanks for putting the Israel version of growing up scared in words. Put into perspective we have to remember our situation here and now is worlds better than for thousands of years.. We are privileged to raise our children in a independent Jewish state and it's our duty to preserve and strengthen it.
Btw, Odelia, the teenager who was the most severely injured in the bombing had her first Shabbat at home last week.
