In a prepared statement, OurCrowd CEO Jon Medved said, “While most eyes are on stock market retreats on Wall Street and global markets, we are proud that we are hosting in Jerusalem a glimpse of a much brighter investor future. Israel’s technology sector is setting new records and continues to boom. We are delighted that we have so many investors joining us to build the next generation of Israeli tech giants.”
The conference will host a large number of workshops and presentations from approximately one hundred different companies.
One of the highlights will be a live hackathon where hundreds of investors fueled by ample Coca-Cola and beer, will work together as a crowd to support dozens of OurCrowd portfolio companies.
At the end of the conference, OurCrowd will host Israel’s largest startup competition together with Keshet and Bank Hapoalim, where the winning company will receive a $500K investment from OurCrowd and a 200K NIS prize to be awarded by Bank Hapoalim’s Chairman Yair Sarousi.
Commenting on the summit, Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat states, “Jerusalem is one of the strongest brands in the world with over 3,000 years of investment and today we are emerging as one of the top hubs for innovation and excellence.
