George Galloway's behaviour was despicably cowardly and racist. But all who take one side of this conflict (whichever side) become part of the problem. Only by refusing to take sides and supporting only those projects that benefit both sides can you become part of the solution1.

Clearly, Britain has become the epicentre of the UNHOLY TRINITY on earth.

Made of three segments of society:

1. Classic anti-Semites

2. "Progressive" anti-Jewish racists.

3. 7th century-based Islamists.

These three elements in society, seemingly, have little in common but a single common denominator: The obsessive need to single out the national home of the Jewish people, Israel; to demonise it, to de-legitimise it, to seek its very demise. And, since Israel is the nation-state of this singled out people, it has become the readily available substitute for the Jew of yesteryear in society, at the receiving position of insults and expression of hate, both verbal and physical, while all this is done in a seemingly "politically correct" set up of being "anti-Israel" not anti-Jewish; anti-Zionism – the strong and old affinity of Jews to Zion/Jerusalem – rather than anti-Semitic.

Sadly, the UNHOLY TRINITY, having anchored itself in British society, has changed the way this society is viewed by the us, Jews, as well as many non-Jews.

Unlike Prof. Smith most gentiles are not offended by Jew hatred. They sympathize with it or are indifferent to it. I agree with the post below. Prof. Smith, unfortunately, is the exception, not the rule.

I wish anti-Semitism were an attack on all, thus elicit revulsion in all. But that's not the case. Jew-hatred as Galloway's display occurs precisely because it is aimed at Jews, and the very noble stand Prof. Stephen Smith takes, is the token exception, not the rule. So it was in the 1930's and 40's, and so it is now.

Well put, however Galloway does not agree with the existence of Israel let alone its policies and his stated aim is its destruction. Meanwhile the deputy Israel ambassador was prevented from speaking and hounded out of the University of Sussex. This is Britain 2013, not a pretty sight.
