This blog is not a reference to the famous episode from Curb your Enthusiasm, starring Larry David!

It is essential that we call it how it is. What his happening in Ramallah demands our true attention here.

Following the war, word was spread that six million Jews were amongst the victims and that a war of extermination was aimed primarily at the Jews. The truth is that no one can either confirm or deny this figure. In other words, it is possible that the number of Jewish victims reached six million, but at the same time it is possible that the figure is much smaller–below one million. It seems that the interest of the Zionist movement, however, is to inflate this figure so that their gains will be greater. This led them to emphasize this figure [six million] in order to gain the solidarity of international public opinion with Zionism. Many scholars have debated the figure of six million and reached stunning conclusions–fixing the number of Jewish victims at only a few hundred thousand.”

That wasn’t said by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad but rather, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. The so called ‘moderate’ Palestinian President!

We condemn, scold and freeze out an Iranian President -who preaches vile things about the Holocaust, Jews and wiping out the state of Israel with a nuclear bomb – but we are all ‘happy clappy’ with Abbas in Ramallah, who has the same deep-rooted hatred of Jews and the State of Israel.

President Bush was very swift in removing Yasser Arafat from any potential negotiations in the Israeli Palestinian conflict. However, he made an error in promoting his supposed moderation back in 2005.

The facts are pretty damning about Abbas and his leadership:

He lost half his country to the terrorist entity Hamas and isn’t anywhere near to building those bridges anytime soon.

Obama, Cameron, the UN and the EU are adamant on their being a ‘two state solution’ and they are entitled to their opinion. That doesn’t mean that they are correct.

You need to have represented parties to make an agreement and Abbas doesn’t have that, while Hamas runs riot in Gaza.

He doesn’t control his own people, has a deep-rooted hatred to Jewish people, has gone on record in saying that Palestine must become a state “clean” of Jews but yet we are happy to elevate him to such prominence as peacemaker!

Its time to go back to the drawing board I think. Until that time, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was so correct when he labelled Abbas a chicken without feathers!
