Lets consider the articile, and as refers to female victims not male. Therefore the comparisons are somewhat different. For a male the secret is in my oppion completely different. When a male opens up about abuse he is often further subjected to verbal abuse. The feelings of shame, isolation and resentment to ones self worth are far greater. The support given to male victim is extremely limited as most funding and attention is give to female victims.
