Buses were empty. Streets were empty. Restaurants instituted a surcharge for the layers of security posted at their doors. Hundreds were murdered. The terror caused or greatly contributed to an economic freeze, but it was the terror at the root of the problem. I'm not for one second downplaying the fear caused by the rockets, but I don't think the two situations are comparable… that said KOL HAKAVOD to every man, woman and child who makes Aliya, and to you.
