Your article raises some valid issues but appears to widen the sectarian divisions. We should not dismiss the aspirations of 1 Billion Muslims, as embodied by the Arab Spring's movements for democratic freedom. Israel has much to lose by giving in to extremists on either side, be they led by Netanyahu or the Salafis.

I've been OK with this for a long time. We as Jews should recognize that the enemy of our enemy is our friend. Yes, we were abandoned in WWII, and probably will be again, some day, but for now, these hundreds of millions of Christians are our allies. For whatever reason they believe Israel should exist, I'm fine with it as long as they keep believing that.

Half a century ago those "hundreds of millions" of Christians were willing to let the Jews die and get slaughtered in Europe. The only reason Christians pretend to like Israel is because it fulfills some religious prophecy about the Rapture. Don't delude yourselves into anything else…

There is currently a reservoir of hundreds of millions of Christian believers around the world who love Israel and who want to tell the Jews to stop looking to America as if it were Israel's God and to remind the faith challenged Israel that they have the Only Ally that they need.
They will tell you that they have no real power except to pray to the King of Kings on Israel's behalf.
Israel plus God equals an undefeatable majority, so ISRAEL , please dump your worthless idol on the Potomac and return to the LORD.

The UN – that is both the General Assembly and the Security Council do not have the authority to give the Arabs one square millimeter of land. It is a violation of the UN Charter and even Russia, China, France, Great Britain and United States would veto it because if it passes then no country's borders would ever again be safe.

We just need a leader with a backbone to tell the world what they can do with themselves.
