Two Palestinians shot dead in the West Bank | The Times of Israel  ‘Ramallah man killed in clashes; in Nablus, man killed after approaching troops; nine arrested in overnight sweeps’

This operation in the West Bank is not going well. But it is going much as expected.

Flooding the place with heavily armed troops and then making house-to-house searches for three kidnapped teenagers are methods guaranteed to end in tears, even more so as time passes by without tangible result.

And yet what is the alternative and, indeed, can there ever be one? – ‘ for those of us with better things to do.’

No troops, no armament, no intrusions, no additional crimes, deaths or accidents, no apologies, no regrets and, in the end, no conflict at all.

Evolve or die. Just about the worst thing you can do is what’s expected.
