And so the process continues, the same weary inevitability still in place. It’s almost as if every move is choreographed in advance, much like a conditioned reflex that has dominated this conflict for generations; all the players act out their roles just as they’ve done a thousand times before.

When is the world going to see some variation in this clash of cultures, belief systems, tribal loyalties? Is there no alternate route to take; can there never be any divergence from a path laid down 66 years ago and from which no serious deviation has been permitted since then?

As a very famous man once said and with whom, even today, very few would attempt to disagree:
