It looks very much like the ‘old days’ are back with us again. The nine months of US-brokered peace talks officially end today and the results can hardly be described as ‘impressive.’ Indeed, the feeling must now be one of disappointment, despair and downright frustration that so little progress has been made and what a complete waste of time it all was.

Well, how much more time are we going to waste on a situation that has defied all resolution for the past 66 years and looks set to continue doing so well into the next generation? – ‘ for those of us with better things to do.’

This moves matters along at a much faster pace; so much so that everyone will be able to see the finish line well within another nine months. Or, maybe, even sooner.
