It is nothing new, when the Jews came back from the first captivity in Babylon the people in their land opposed them in building one of them an Arab and one an Ammonite which is Ammon capital of Jordan today. "So they (the Jews) said, "Let us rise up and build." Then they set their hands to this good work. But when Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite official, and Geshem the Arab heard of it, they laughed at us and despised us…" Neh 2:18-19 NKJV.

The Lord even gives warning to all these nations; "Thus says the LORD: "Against all My evil neighbors who touch the inheritance which I have caused My people Israel to inherit — behold, I will pluck them out of their land and pluck out the house of Judah from among them. Then it shall be, after I have plucked them out, that I will return and have compassion on them and bring them back, everyone to his heritage and everyone to his land. And it shall be, if they will learn carefully the ways of My people, to swear by My name, 'As the LORD lives,'… then they shall be established in the midst of My people. But if they do not obey, I will utterly pluck up and destroy that nation," says the LORD." Jer 12:14-17 NKJV.

The Lord describes how He will execute judgment upon all those around Israel who despise them. I believe we will see it! "And there shall no longer be a pricking brier or a painful thorn for the house of Israel from among all who are around them, who despise them. Then they shall know that I am the Lord GOD." 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "When I have gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and am hallowed in them in the sight of the Gentiles, then they will dwell in their own land which I gave to My servant Jacob. And they will dwell safely there, build houses, and plant vineyards; yes, they will dwell securely, when I execute judgments on all those around them who despise them. Then they shall know that I am the LORD their God."'" Ezek 28:24-26 NKJV.

I believe it is the event we see in Ezekiel 38-39 "I will set My glory among the nations; all the nations shall see My judgment which I have executed, and My hand which I have laid on them." Ezek 39:21.

When the Lord does this thing Israel will be exalted in the earth! "Then the nations shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel." Ezek 39:7.

And again notice what He says in Zephaniah should come to pass after they are gathered from the nations;.

"I will gather those who sorrow over the appointed assembly,
Who are among you,
To whom its reproach is a burden.
Behold, at that time.
I will deal with all who afflict you;.
I will save the lame,
And gather those who were driven out;.
I will appoint them for praise and fame.
In every land where they were put to shame.
At that time I will bring you back,
Even at the time I gather you;.
For I will give you fame and praise.
Among all the peoples of the earth,
When I return your captives before your eyes,".
Says the LORD." Zeph 3:18-2.

"Thus says the LORD of hosts: 'In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, "Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you."'" Zech 8:23.

"And they will plunder those who plundered them, and pillage those who pillaged them," says the Lord GOD. Ezek 39:10

"Then behold, at eventide, trouble!
And before the morning, he is no more.
This is the portion of those who plunder us,
And the lot of those who rob us." Isa 17:14.

"Therefore wait for Me," says the LORD,
"Until the day I rise up for plunder;.
My determination is to gather the nations.
To My assembly of kingdoms,
To pour on them My indignation,
All My fierce anger…" Zeph 3:8.

"The LORD shall go forth like a mighty man;.
He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.
He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud;.
He shall prevail against His enemies.
"I have held My peace a long time,
I have been still and restrained Myself.
Now I will cry like a woman in labor,
I will pant and gasp at once.
Isa 42:13-14

"Surely it is coming, and it shall be done," says the Lord GOD. "This is the day of which I have spoken." Ezek 39:8.

Dan, These are thoughts and intents found in the Lord's heart through His word, it is describing and event that shall capture the eyes of all the nations. If we interpret the letter of His word we will miss God all together. But when we interpret the spirit of the Word we find the intent of its author.
