But I would not say the left won and the right lost. As to the differences, the right wants to annex- thats clearly one view. The center would be happy to get rid of the territories but is convinced that the Palestinians are not willing to make peace so we ignore the problem and the left wants to keep trying and does not accept the fact that the Palestinians are not willing to make peace.

We're talking about approaches to a problem here, not imagined results. The right wants to annex, the center wants status quo and the left wants to push land. When you come right down to it, the center is now closer to the right than it is to the left.

In a political contest, if someone lost, someone won.

As to left and center I am not sure where the lines exist, I do not think there is any difference between what any of them think would be the final settlement if there ever was one, the only difference being which party's want to push the issue and which feel there is no point at the moment.

Right and center-left? How about right, center and left. The center wants the status-quo, understanding that there will be no peace with those that don't have peace as a goal. The left wants to push ideas that have been proven as failed, time and time again.
