Hi Sharon I think I am just going to have to disagree with you, there is a big difference between what you wish there was here and what actually is here. A cursory look at the map will say that it's common sense that the West Bank be a part of Israel. we would have a very clear border to the East but to do that and to want it is to utterly ignore the fact that the West Bank is populated by people with their own hopes and dreams for a nation state.

I guess the next time a rapist threatens to smash down my door and enter my house with a view to raping and murdering our entire family I should say to myself "hand him the keys and move out, after all when was the last time we were able to walk free around the neighbourhood with threat of attack?"

Sorry Mark, you are deluded. History shows the inch-crawl land grab that is taking place. It's not time to create a second Palestinian state, but to establish finally the Jordan River as boundary between Palestine and Israel as the only fair sensible pragmatic solution to this issue that will provide two peoples with two states with defensible borders. I guess though if a stupid new PM follows your advice you can always go home when the cookie crumbles, but what about all those indigenous Jews of Israel and the Jewish refugees of Arab lands? They have no "home" to go to when this little experiment fails.

The rockets rained down on Sderot only AFTER we gave up Gush Katif. That's the fact, Jack. Before then, the people of Gush Katif silently and stoically took the brunt of it. And no, the "vast majority" is not in favor of leaving Yehuda and Shomron. If that were the case, Meretz would have won the election by a landslide. That's your take, Marc. That's not fact. And I'm really sorry that more of us in the heartland are not being murdered to suit your satisfaction. I suppose it is Israel's fault as well that our soldiers and security apparatus are up to snuff. However, that does not negate the fact that daily terrorist attempts are occuring. I suggest you google the Tayar Report. You'll get an eyeful. You are forgetting that I work for an organization that outfits the emergency response teams throughout Yehuda and Shomron with security equipment in order to prevent terror infiltrations. The One Israel Fund actually does this IN COOPERATION with the IDF. We fill in the gaps because the army can't be everywhere and the IDF appreciates the importance of our work, because it is indeed necessary. So much for your gibberish on lack of terror by the peace loving PA. In addition, referring to me as a bigot does not help your argument. Really, Marc? Name calling? Are you actually resorting to that? If preserving and safeguarding my homeland and my people is "bigotted" then fine, I'm a biggot, I say rolling my eyes at your nonsense. Oh, and for every leftist expert in the field who argues for withdrawal, there is a right-winger expert to counter those arguments.
