Dear Jeff: Obama is trying not to be pushed into a war by Zionists who simply want to grab more land from Palestine and now possibly Syria. The aims of the Israeli Zionists are obvious to everyone who can read historical facts – past and present. Obama does not hate Jews,does not arm Jihadists (if you are referring to arming Syrian revolutionaries who are NOT Jihadists but simply citizenry rising up against a vicious dictator), but is probably for some initiative for Israel to return Palestinian lands STOLEN from Palestine in the 1967 war. NO – Obama is not the cause of any drift or lessening of support by the U.S. Israel is its own worse enemy and is going down a path of self-destruction if it stubbornly, erratically sticks to its apartheid and imperialist policies against Palesine. Many, many Jews inside Israel and outside Israel are trying to get the Zionists in Israel to support peace through a two state solution and you cannot deny that fact.
Who in fact is Jeff Pomerantz – are you being paid by the Republicans to again and continually debase our President?

Mr. Dershowitz peppers his article with comments about the "illegally occupied by Israel". How telling is that? Mr. Dershowitz, like all Zionists, accepts illegal activities by Israel as perfectly legitimate as long as they are beneficial to the Israeli Zionist State. The arrogance of such a man is appalling! His comments in the beginning of his article disparaging the Arab World and particularly Egypt where he ties Hamas with the Muslim Brotherhood, are stricly propaganda to add more fuel to the fires of war and killing of innocents. He is an inveterate liar and purveyor of hatred. I choose not to believe anything Mr. Dershowitz proposes as I am not blinded by his self-aggrandisement in the public forum.

I live in Australia. The greens very green and extreme left here seem to believe the Hamas propaganda. They want to be part of a cause – the cause is Palestine. As I thought you have just suggested the apartheid alternative that no one buys except a minority of extremists in Israel who believe it is business as usual and the natives can stay in their bantustans, Settlers will continue to steal private Palestinian land and manipulate government to expropriate public land and it will all be fine. Abbas has definitively stated his recognition of Israel, he forgoes his right to return and categorically condemns Mashal' last statements but you do not listen. Your are so deep in the ideological box of Greater Israel, that to think outside of it is impossible.

My suggestion? Annex all of area C. Selectively look at area B also. Area A is theirs. They have autonomy and can rule in their area as long as they remain peaceful with us. If they really need to be a part of an Arab or Islamic nation, they have may others to choose from. If they are connected to the land they can continue to live where they in under self rule in peace with us. If they want Haifa and Tel Aviv, as they say they do, they can go to hell as far as I'm concerned.

Refusing to listen to the most moderate pali? You mean the one that is linking up with Hamas as we speak? Those are some high quality blinders you're wearing.

They exercise sanctions and pressure on countries ranging from Cuba to Iran often with justification. Israelis use influence in AIPAC and through other channels to influence policy – sometimes engineer it, in the US. Adelson uses his influence and money in the US to run a Bibi Tribune called "Israel Today" which has limitless financial backing, is distributed freely and practices bias and influence shamelessly. And you pussyfoot around, preaching ethics while this country is about to self destruct? The world has changed and its a free for all. You talk about "labor"?. Look at Netanyahu's pathetic attempt at working for Romney which backfired. If Americans can try to stop whale hunting in Japan, you can certainly do what you need to, to make changes here. If you don't, by default you empower Adelson and others to manipulate Israeli politics while THEY sit in Vegas or Australia. This is precisely why Dershowitz's silence and inaction is no less than acquiescence while politely stepping back and making nice new suggestions which have been thoroughly ignored.

I answered your question very clearly so I will make it clearer: at the point of a true negotiation that has gone further than South Africa or Ireland preceded by a complete freeze on all settlement which is both illegal and harmful and a position based on 67 borders with land swaps, which then cannot be resolved due to a return to Palestinian terror in the now peaceful West Bank. And with that, I say, we would still need to rethink because in this I don't believe in the zero sum game: its the easy way out and an excuse to use violence at any time.
Now let me ask you this. As you have given up hope – or possibly never gave peace a chance in the past, what is your suggestion? To rule all Palestinians living in occupied territory? to rule out an option for peace by refusing to listen to even the most moderate Palestinians? to tell us that they must vote in Jordan? To isolate them in bantustan enclaves while you build on land that is not yours? Or is it maybe what you don't like to say – wait for an opportunity to transfer them out of Israel like Kahana or Zeevi suggested ? To create a South Africa type situation where a minority of Jews rules a majority of arabs and face boycott, divestment and sanctions? To become the scourge of the world and an embarrassment to a growing section of Diasporah Jewry?

Jonathan Zausmer – Are you a politician in training? I ask because you took my question, started your commentary with how important it is and then proceeded to prattle off everything you want to say, except actually answering the question.

I'll ask it again, in very plain words – Is there ANYTHING that the other side could do that would force you to admit that the land for peace formula can't and doesn't work in this instance?

Your answer to this will go a long way to explaining why you will never face up to reality here. What you want is immaterial. You cannot force the other side to adopt your ideas, yet that's exactly what the land for peace crowd has been trying to do now for over 3 decades.

I believe if you answer my question honestly, you will say there is nothing they could do to deter you. Which is why the majority of the country has left your mindset by the wayside. We need to deal with reality and not fantasy.
