When my parents moved to their first house in NJ after I was born, they planted trees and bushes. We still occasionally drive by that house to see how tall those trees and bushes have grown. We've been growing our own vegetable garden since moving to Israel two years ago, and it's connected me to the land (this land) in a way I never was connected before.
