The laws of Israel determine how the coalition is formed and dismantled
All subsequent events are subordinate
The reference is not to some celeb or another or journalist who has cast off his/her thinly veiled pretense of journalistic objectivity and entered the (usually) the left wing of the Knesset.
Rather as most readers would easily recognize – is to those journalists who as yet maintain the same thinly veiled pretense of objectivity, and continue to cast their pearls of wisdom via their respective media organs.

The political history of Israel shows that for government to survive and serve out at least most of its term, it needs as many MK's as possible, so as to reduce the leverage of individual parties within the coalition. Netanyahu's strategy is more than sound – it is utterly prudent.
It is easy for students and journalists to sip their latte and write their pieces – they have no responsibility.

Netanyahu is a pathologically insecure type. He's waiting to form a 127 MKs coalition, out of the 120 MKs… Otherwise, insecurity itches him. He's likewise perpetually insecure about what to do and how to deal with Iran.
