Acording to this comentary she is a Feftist, patrotic, I never heard of such a thing, Must be something new.
You have had the best Prime-minister iin Israel for a long time, By your writing he is slipping to the left,
Could mean that Israel is a much weaker nation, ujust like the palestinians want, many more Isralies will be dying, I like Bennet right wing orthodox, Many of you by your views will wind up being the 2/3 that God.
allows to die, Read Zachierah, Not judging Not good enough to judge anything, I have troubles of my own,
Seems like you would be in line with someone like Obama.

I do agree with you in regards to Shelly hardly mentioning the peace process, and I think she made it even worse when each time she was asked about she simply said that it is understood that Labor will automatically return to negotiations instead of laying out some kind of platform in the first place, however you will recall that other Labor members did mention the peace process, for instance Herzog, who was seated fairly close to you at the debate mentioned it several times (although I admit, all the time that he spend texting there could have made him appear less than sincere).

Michael, I criticize the Labor Party (though I have a lot of respect for some of their MKs and a lot of friends who are party activists) because they really strayed from their traditional stances about just about everything. They hardly mentioned the peace process, the settlements, or all the problems of church and state (religion and politics). Given the fact that for decades they ran the country, that they have a long history and a big party bureaucracy, that they claimed to be aiming to replace the Likud with Shelly as PM, coming up with 15 seats is pretty meager. Meretz, on the other hand, had no expectations and made no claims to be out to join the government at all -- but promised to be an active opposition, and in so doing doubled our representation. In any case, thanks for the kind words about the debate!

Laura, First let me start off by saying that although I'm not a Meretz supporter, I have a great amount of respect for you since hearing you speak in the English Debates last month. I felt that there are many points that I do agree with you on. Furthermore, if I stay at HU for my second degree, I would very much be interested in taking any class given by you.
Having said that, I fail to see exactly how you could come around and criticize Labor in the same breath that you had Likud (in the comment section). Furthermore, if Labor's reception of 15 mandates represents very little support, what would you characterize the support level of your own party as?

OH NO! The "Right" actually increased funding for Judaic studies and reduced the growth of spending (to the Left that is a "cut") for Communist and Atheist studies. How will the youth of tomorrow be brainwashed by Meretz traitors if they have pride in a Jewish State!

As for Dan Meridor, who I respect, didn't he jump ship to the Center Party a few years ago and didn't Benny Begin, who I admire, also move over to Herut a few years ago. So, politicians can play political chairs but the Likud members and the voters can't? That is a bit illogical, no?

Oh hey dov, hows the hating on the beduins and leftists going today?
Not that your comments had any resonance before, but after you called mohumad a sodomist, you really showed that everything you say is pretty much bullcrap:

In any case, good article Laura (also you spoke well in the english debates before the election)-dont be despondent because of bigotted settlers like dov!
