It really seems like you are having trouble counting. From dec 2007 to July 2008, I count 17 dead. You can only count 1 that was murdered by our "peace partner?" that's a relief. Well actually the two hikers that were murdered in december 2007 were murdered by two perpetrators - one a Palestinian authority police officer and the other a member of Fatah. Exactly one month after the Annapolis "peace talks." For the murder of the old woman in feburary 2008 Fatah compteted to take the credit with Hamas. Then there was the murder of the border guard in January of the same year. Can you count how many attacks came from the west bank? Has it ever occurred to you that perhaps groups like Hamas and Fatah etc all work and coordinate attacks together and also compete over who gets to claim credit? Are you aware that in march 2008 after 8 yeshiva students were murdered the official newspaper of our "peace partner" praised the murderer as a "martyr" and "hero" on it's front page with a large photo of the murderer holding a gun? This was exactly 4 months after Annapolis. Anyway, it's clear that you do not want to have an honest and intelligent discussion and that I have offended your "religious sensibilities. Goodbye.

Are you sure you can count? I count 17 dead in the 8 months following annapolis alone. No talks or withdrawals and israeli compromises has ever made Israel safer or secure...it has only done the opposite. Moron? The person who resorts to ad homienim attacks loses. That's not to say that you had much to argue with in the first place - i.e. your irrational blind faith, orwellian language etc.

Over the next 2 and a half years since those talks I count 14 deaths (from your link)
Clearly- the currentt situation is that talks do not lead to an upsurge in violence.
You are a moron who wont accept the fact when it is YOU who brought that fact to my attention.

I present clear facts while you opt to play dodge ball and avoid adressing the facts. The best you can do is employ Orwellian language like "right-wing perspective" and then choose to fast forward to late 2007 - many thousands of deaths later. I'm going to post a link in my next comment listing terror successful terror attacks covering that period - late 2007- 2008. The list obviously doesn't include the many hubdreds of attacks that were thrawted. Anyway come back when you want to have a serious discussion minus irrational emotion, blind faith and Orwellian newspeak. Otherwise, happy fanatsies and fairy tales :)

When Olmert and Abbas talked in 2007 there was no upsurge in violence or deaths in the west bank. There is a fact that shows talks do not cause people to want to kill.
Lets see your right wing perpective on that fact

Once again faced with clear, undeniable facts proving that what you are advocating for is very dangerous and costs lives and rather than being the solution to the conflict, actually pepertuates it and make it worse, you still hold onto this idea with complete blind faith. In the process of following emotional blind faith you completely revise history - attributing Israel's presence in Judea as the root cause of the conflict and revise the facts on the ground by continually referring to this as an "occupation" with no legal basis what so ever. Rather than approach the conflict with an open mind and be objective you have decided to unquestionably swallow everything that you have heard and read about the conflict from university and the BBC as nothing other than the absolute truth. We've spent a lot of time corresponding....I've given you clear facts and figures and you have given me nothing but a perspective that is not based on anything rational or logical...just emotional at best. To make our discussion worthwhile I would advice that you do your home work and come back armed with actual facts...not subjective emotion and blind faith.

The fact that the death rate had increased to more than 3 times the amount during the first five years of Oslo - where they were busy negotiating, withdrawing from territories, arming, making compromises and giving money to the PLO - should really be a no brainer. Thats also in addition to the camp David talks in 2000 where the end result was close to 1000 people losing their lives. Also a no brainier. The fact that the PLO/Fatah have never, ever changed their position on israel and have expressed their desire to destroy Israel to anyone who listens and interpret any subsequent Israeli willingness to talk and negotiate as a sign of weakness and invitation to attack is...well...also a no brainier. Fake account? What? Do you have something against north Korean rocket scientists? Does the fact that you're a religious zealot prevent you from having a sense of humor?

Well I've pretty much explained the causation with clear facts and figures. I'm sorry this incovienant "right wing mantra" has gotten in the way of your narratve of the conflict. The fact that you are advocating a position - that has cost many lives - on pure blind faith demonstrates just how religious you are. I would say that you are the most zealously religious person that has ever left comments on the TOI forum. No logic, rational or facts...just simple blind faith. You deserve a medal :)
