2. To Dance in the Rain

It has got to the stage now, where the next person to quote me some inspirational line or lyric about facing life’s challenges, may just receive a wet fish in the face.

Don’t get me wrong, I love all that stuff, it’s awesome for finishing blogs with, it’s great for drama and seeming like you know William Shakespeare’s personal life better than him, however…There comes a time when you realise, that when you’re in a tricky situation, or you want someone’s advice, the last thing you actually need is the words of some long lost old soul to tell you how to manage your crisis.

Of course we have to embrace life’s mishaps and ups and downs, they are the intrinsic pattern of nature and the world, all things are felt sharply at first and then fade, light, touch, smell, taste..anyway, point is, the majority of these sayings should never be brought out at a time of distress, that’s all I’m saying..well obviously not all. I’m only at two paragraphs…

Speaking of dancing in the rain, did you hear, Britain was awash, flooded with trees, and rubbish bins, cats got blown into bushes, and all the things we rely upon for stability, simply decimated by a little bit of wind from the South West, I blame America, don’t care how special the relationship is, if my broadband goes down, or if my Northern Line train is delayed, the world has ended, and if it’s south-westerly winds, it must be the cousins from Grosvenor Square that caused it.

I went into Kings Cross yesterday looking for some Kosher sandwiches, but because of the “adverse weather conditions” (as some highly nasal voice was putting it over the loudspeakers) the place looked like Glastonbury in there, laptops and small Asian children and coffee just sprawled out haphazard in the main concourse of my favourite Mainline station.

Between fixing printer drivers and configuring pbx’s & virtual server clusters, I seem to be learning a whole lot of stuff, I even had to understand a bit of exchange shell commands, interesting bits I’m picking up.

anyway, this has been nice, once a week seems healthy,

In the news: Google glass is being revamped, Samsung have a bendy phone and a rather worrying new partnership with Microsoft, and facebook is covered in giraffes, blackberry have done well with their release, but sadly a spectacularly badly-timed to coincide with the new Ipad, which, despite my previous blog, is actually quite a cute piece of kit..and ISP’s in the UK have been court-ordered to block access to certain file sharing sites-due to pressure by the Music Industry.

also, I’m going to Israel for Chanukah, woooo, see my friends and family, won’t that be nice….

alright, the good word…(despite my above rantings)

(Avos 4.3)

a good week, and a good shabbos.
