A Betrayal By Design

Interfering with Israel’s internal politics, as Chuck Schumer foolishly did, and which Biden unwisely endorsed, represents a new low for this administration. The Biden administration’s motive for interfering with Israel’s domestic politics is less about the welfare and safety of Gaza’s civilians than it is to stanch the bleed of two key segments of America’s voting public, Muslims and the youth.

Because Biden is behind in the polls, he is trying to salvage his eroding support among states with large Muslim populations, as well as the 70% of voters between the ages of 18–34 who have been indoctrinated with antipathy toward Israel that is fighting against its nemesis and existential threat, Hamas. Driven by his desire to preserve political power, Biden is shoring up his sagging political base prior to the November elections, by throwing a life-line to Hamas, thus prolonging their hopes of achieving their goal – the genocide of the Jews of Israel. It is this administration’s immoral, shameful, and self-serving shift of support away from America’s long-time ally, Israel, in its effort to garner votes from the anti-Israel gulag.

It’s ironic that the Biden administration is accusing Netanyahu of manufacturing a crisis in an effort to hold on to power, with what is a clear case of projection by this administration. With a porous border, an economy on life-support, and unfettered crime running rampant through the streets, Biden has cast morals into the gutter in an effort to hold onto his reins of power. Consequently, the ties between Israel and the United States have unraveled, just as they did under Obama, when as a parting shot at Netanyahu, he abstained from UNSC resolution 2334 which called the ‘settlements’ illegal. And true to form, Biden has followed in the footsteps of his mentor, by not vetoing the UNSC Resolution 2728, which calls for an immediate ceasefire and the release of hostages. Unfortunately, the resolution did not make the ceasefire stipulation contingent upon the release of hostages.

If the UNSC possessed even the slimmest thread or moral fiber, it would have crafted a resolution demanding Hamas to immediately surrender and release all hostages. It comes as no surprise that Hamas was overjoyed with the Biden administration for abstaining instead of vetoing the resolution. In its joy, it went as far as to praise the UNSC for approving the resolution, knowing full well it hinders Israel’s effort to purge them from Gaza.

Because the full political spectrum of the Israeli government is committed to rid Gaza of Hamas, even a regime change will not alter the objective of the Israeli people. The leftist mantra, which goes like this, we don’t hate Jews, we hate Israel, we don’t hate the Israeli people, only its government, is but a thin veneer trying to cover their animus towards Israel and Jews. It is without a doubt true that those obstructing Israel from achieving its objective of destroying Hamas, are complicit in their atrocities.

As for protecting the civilians in Gaza, the UN should be condemning Hamas’s use of them as human shields, instead of rebuking Israel for protecting its own citizenry. The widening divide between the US and Israel is a betrayal by design on the part of the Biden-Obama administration. Remember it was Obama who sought to bring more daylight between the two nations. More specifically, it was the time when Obama, referring to the prior eight years, said “During those eight years, there was no space between us and Israel, and what did we get from that? When there is no daylight, Israel just sits on the sidelines, and that erodes our credibility with the Arab states.” True to his word and thanks to Obama’s proxy, Joe Biden is bringing more daylight between our nations which will paradoxically plunge our countries into darkness and despair.
