This is not about moralizing or crying over poor Iranian children, but instead about understanding what we can brace ourselves for in due time. During the Iran-Iraq War in the 1980s, Iranian boys went into battle with a plastic key around their necks. It was their ticket to paradise upon their death, and it also meant to give them courage while charging across minefields in order to clear the way for soldiers who would follow behind them.
What exactly are we dealing with when we hear that the Raja News agency, which is close to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, proudly announce the start of the “City of Games for Revolutionary Children? ”Can children be Iranian revolutionaries? Definitely, in a perverted use of childhood, and nowadays with the explosion of world wide terror, they can do great arm today and tomorrow as adults.
I don’t trust children as such In the Pol Pot death camps they learned to kill their parents. I don’t know In Gaza, they learn to use weapons before they have reached the age of ten, and later we find them loaded with TNT ready to blow themselves up in order to kill Israelis in the name of Allah. The children of ISIS grow up being indoctrinated on how to shoot infidels in the head or to behead them, an art that is now being cultivated in Iraq and Syria. It’s known that Hamas is a terrorist organization, therefore its use of children is normal to the western eyes, perfectly logical, doesn’t seem to bother anyone, nobody try to send save the children to Gaza if not against the Israeli. Same destiny with ISIS children, everything they do falls under an abstract category of evil, and so be it.
However, the case of Iran is particularly disturbing because the long negotiation which resulted in the agreement of last summer, forced the western public opinion to ignore Iran’s monstrosities by bringing the smiles of Mohammad Javad Zarif, the people’s Foreign Minister, to the forefront. Now, beset by a thousand headlines of violence and of human rights violations, here are children going through twelve activity stations at an “amusement park” that teaches them about fighting the country’s enemies and fosters hatred against Israel and the Sunnis.
While playing at the park children can cheerfully shoot plastic bullets at effigies of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and members of the Saudi royal family. Children, as the director of the park Hamid Sadeghi explains, perform these and other activities to fulfill the glorious mission of their nation, which is to lead the world, crush infidels, impose the true religion and enable the coming of the Mahdi, the Shiite messiah. It’s their primary goal, for which they are willing to kill and create an apocalypse.
Iran politics is an organized terrorism factory that goes hand in hand with established breaches to the nuclear agreement, the increase of ballistic missile tests, and the use of the army in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon… This is Iran today, a very large military-religious amusement park where, armed to the teeth, young men grow up.
