A Call to American Voters – Especially Democrats
Democratic America supports Israel but, shockingly, it also restrains us in our most difficult war, even after we suffered a brutal attack a year ago.
The blame for the tragic deaths of thousands of children in Gaza lies with Hamas—not Israel. Israel makes every effort to allow civilians to exit combat zones (is there another country in the world that does this during wartime?). Hamas, on the other hand, tries to prevent this, using these people as human shields. Yet, Democratic America has pressured for humanitarian aid—aid that, instead, has ended up in Hamas’s hands, only to be sold back to those suffering in Gaza to fund its own war efforts.
Democratic America has repeatedly prevented Israel from neutralizing Hamas, constantly pushing for a “deal” that may bring our hostages home but would also release hundreds of convicted terrorists, like Yahya Sinwar, whose previous release led directly to a horrific escalation. Now, once again, Democratic America supports a deal with terrorists, saving them from accountability and allowing them to regroup, recover, and prepare for further wars.
Moreover, Democratic America holds back Israel’s efforts to decisively confront Hezbollah in Lebanon, demanding that we refrain from capturing southern Lebanon (at least) up to the Litani River. Here, too, they push for an accord, like UN Resolution 1701, that has done nothing to prevent Hezbollah’s buildup along our border—and it won’t stop them in the future.
An historic opportunity also arose to confront Iran’s radical leadership, end the nuclear threat, and provide the Iranian people a chance to break free from authoritarian rule. Yet Democratic America once again restrained Israel from action, effectively preserving Tehran’s brutal and anti-democratic regime.
Those who have saved Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran’s Revolutionary Guard from destruction cannot, in good conscience, claim to be defenders of democracy. Such actions allow these forces—among the most oppressive and anti-democratic in the Middle East—to persist unchallenged.
To vote for the Democrats next week in America would be to support a falsehood. It is a profound moral failure.
I recognize the challenge some might feel in supporting Donald Trump, but I suggest that if it is too difficult to vote for him, it is better not to vote at all than to endorse this “Democratic” falsehood that has proven to be a historic and moral disaster in Israel and the Middle East.
I hope and pray every day that Israel will prevail despite the “restraining embrace” of Democratic America—and if that happens, it will truly be a miracle from G-o-d.
