A New Era In The Hezbollah- Israel War

Hezbollah attacked Israel on Oct 8th.
The attack was launched while Israel was still trying to stop the Hamas massacre of innocent civilians near the border with Gaza. Live videos of Palestinian terrorists brutally murdering hundreds of innocent Israeli civilians went viral on social media. Hezbollah leaders decided to join Hamas and attack Israel. Israel did nothing to provoke Hezbollah in Lebanon, just as Israel did nothing to Hamas in Gaza. It’s important to note that Hezbollah attacked Israel before Israel had a chance to push back the Hamas terrorists who invaded Israel. The claim that Hezbollah attacked Israel to help Gaza is a brutal lie. Hezbollah attacked Israel long before Israel launched its counterattack on Hamas in Gaza.
Since Oct 8th, Hezbollah has been attacking Israel daily, firing thousands of rockets/drones! The vast majority of these rockets and drones hit civilian areas. Despite Nasrallah’s lies, Hezbollah are intentionally targeting these areas to create panic among civilians. These deliberate acts of terror are the reason that 96,000 Israeli civilians were forced out of their homes and placed in temporary refugee centers across the country. My brother is one of these refugees. As an Israeli living in the Galilee, I witness these daily attacks and see the results first hand. Our young children are constantly asking about the nearest bomb shelter and are dealing with anxiety and fear.
During these eleven months, the US and many other countries have tried to stop the Hezbollah attacks diplomatically, with no success. During this time, Israel’s response was strictly defensive. The IDF responded with direct attacks on missile launchers and terror infrastructure. Israel has proven that Hezbollah is using civilian homes to launch missile attacks and that the terror organization’s headquarters are located in the heart of civilian neighborhoods. Despite this, the number of civilian casualties in Lebanon is minimal.
THESE ARE FACTS. Facts that don’t seem to Matter.
International media found very little interest in this story. Israel being attacked by a terrorist organization is simply not interesting enough to make the news. Nearly 100,000 Israeli refugees who were forced out of their homes is not a topic worth discussing on university campuses. Civil rights activists and world peace organizations will not act on their behalf, and the UN will not discuss this matter. Jewish refugees? Israeli citizens under fire? Not interesting.
However, this is all going to change now.
Why? After 11 months of unprecedented restraint, Israel has declared that it will not accept these ongoing attacks and, therefore, take the initiative and counterattack Hezbollah. Suddenly, a topic is born! The international press can’t wait to cover Lebanese civilians leaving their homes. Global organizations are ready to comment on civilian casualties, and it’s only a matter of time before Lebanese flags will be part of demonstrations on university campuses.
The context is not going to matter. Eleven months of restraint is not going to impress anyone. 10,000 attacks on Israel is not a story. 100,000 Israeli refugees is a secret no one would discuss.
Similar to Hamas in Gaza, mainstream media will suggest that Hezbollah is a legitimate political party. No word will be said about their history of terror attacks against Israel and the USA. It would be tough to find decent journalists who would ask difficult questions about the ties with Iran, involvement in the Syrian civil war, and years of drug dealing worldwide.
In this new era, we are responsible for sharing the facts and demanding truth and justice.
