A Sanctuary to Give Hope and Faith in Place of Despair

A Sanctuary to Give Hope and Faith in Place of Despair

Torah Portion Terumah

A Sanctuary for the Divine Presence

Must first be constructed within our lives,

For the outer structure to be rebuilt

By the light of our inner Menorah.

The showbread loaves sustain through Divine sparks

Our physical lives imbued with blessings

For our journey’s mission trajectory

Beyond its mere finite, mundane purpose.

Thus, the incense altar’s scent then augers

Longing for an ethereal, infinite link

To give hope and faith in place of despair,

To a world in turmoil, in grave, dire need,

To reach the vast hem of eternity,

To co-partner in repairing the world;

And to enter the Holy of Holies

That will then be duly rebuilt to remain.
