Alignments & The golden rule

Values help motivate you.

Priorities and Purpose chart our course forward.

Values are internal and Principles are external rules for values.

Values help you gain clarity, however you cannot be a bank robber and simultaneously want to save the world. There is no alignment here.

It is said that Beliefs are formed out of values just as sentences are formed out of words.

Peaceful people have values that align with their beliefs, and both their beliefs  align with law, truth, and reality.

Are core Values and Priorities interchangeable?

There are no compromises with respect to morality, ethics, and safety.

Safety is a core value.

And what we value defines our personal identity.

I embarked on writing this article over a week ago as I was grappling with the question of what is so off with so much of humanity today.

When close to the completion of this post.. a new knife struck our nation, and as far as all are concerned; all of humanity.

All should question the misalignment after the evil and cruel execution of 6 innocent hostages.

The Golden Medina/Nation really tries to apply the “ Golden Rule”: Do unto others as you would want done unto you”. Although this rule can often fail they even try to raise it to; The Platinum rule.

To try to be the light and leaders of humanity.

Someone posed this question to me:

Is it possible that the souls of these Terrorists are disconnected from them, completely misaligned, traversing the earth as Evil Zombies ?

And I posed as well:

Is it possible that the antisemitic/racist protestors on college campuses and elsewhere are disconnected as well, and foolish as they are not connecting the dots. Israel first the West is next, or already. They are being used and do not even realize it, they are SWEPT AWAY by Radical rhetoric, and man they sell cheap, they can be bought. Principles? Integrity? Truth? Law?

Our worldview, faith, and politics can define us because they affect the way we live.

Worth-ship or Worship.

Everybody worships something, but we have a choice of what to worship.

Truth is a vitally important value. So why all the denial?

It takes integrity- and courage to stand up for truth.

Integrity- part of a principle, the first of our values; to live through a beneficial moral code.

Integrity is the foundation for trust.

Values can be individualistic in nature, but Morals are wider in scope and impact a larger number of people.

So if we do not have shared goals, of morality, godliness, holiness in regard to mankind, we become misaligned.

Where doe the Golden rule originate?

Some say Socrates, but actually it goes back to the Torah: Hillel the Elder 110 BCE .

This was a moral standard; to be aware of how to treat others.

Rosa Parks: “ Nothing in the Golden Rule says that others will treat you as you have treated them. It only says that we must treat others in a way we want to be treated. “

Steepness R. Covey: “ We are not in control, Principles control. We control the actions- but the consequences that flow from the actions are controlled by Principles”.

So how to realign.

As someone said to me approximately 10 years ago:

“ It all boils down to education.”

So let us plant the seeds.
